About Anna

I live in South West London with my husband. I run a fashion business and frequently travel to Italy. We have integrated with the locals in Paghezzana, made many friends and love the locality and lifestyle. It is the perfect place to switch off and chill.

Anna purchased this house in 1987

Why Anna chose Sarzana

I fell in love with the area and lifestyle many years ago. Paghezzana is a tiny hamlet on a hill side overlooking Sarzana, the sea and the Magra river. Behind us is a national park and the Apennine mountains. Sarzana is a historic walled town with great cafes, bars and restaurants shops and a market. 45 minutes from Pisa airport, there is a lot to do as well as going to the many beaches in the area.

What makes this house unique

The house has a secluded sun terrace, with umbrellas, sun loungers and bean bags. There is generally a slight cooling breeze. You will need a car to get around. Beaches, marina, golf courses, tennis, vineyards are all close by. Great shops full of local produce. A perfect base for exploring, Portovenere, Lerici, Cinque Terre, Lucca and Florence. We can supply a list of where to go and what to do.

A wonderful place with magnificent views.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4, with 2 girls at 5 and 10 years old.

we had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house with great views. so quiet and beautiful.

we experienced a lot in the area of Italy.

In the house there was a book with a lot of good descriptions of good places to go. Good restaurant. Beautiful beaches, etc.

A great help as you experience the bedst of your vacation.

that was the first time we were in Italy on vacation, Great ice cream, delicious food and fine wine.

Beautiful nature area.

I hope we will one day come back.

In the Danish winter we will talk about our successful holiday.

Good holiday to anyone who has to be lucky to experience this beautiful house.

The most incredible view I've ever seen

  • 5 of 5

Had the most fantastic stay at this charming accommodation in Paghezzana. Beautiful kitchen and living areas maintained in the authentic style. Very peaceful with the forest behind and the most incredible view overlooking the seaside and Sarzana. I hope to be back!

Charming Tuscan Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We arrived in early June to the most pristine weather. The house is set amongst the Apennine Hills where they meet the coast. A beautiful and cosy house with endless charm overlooking Sarzana and the sea. We spent days travelling the coastline, from relaxing at beaches in Lerici, to visiting the Cinque Terre. Nights were whiled away at numerous agriturismi and drinking in Sarzana old town. The area is the perfect slice of Tuscan/Ligurian life without being overly geared towards tourists. I can't recommend the property highly enough and it was an extremely comfortable and beautifully presented spot.

Fantastic little gem with an amazing view

  • 4 of 5

We had a very happy week at this little house which provided a perfect base for exploring the local area. The local town of Sarzana has lots of great shops and restaurants and is a short drive away. Lots of pretty hill top towns to visit or else we just spent the day on the beach which is about ten minutes drive. Would certainly recommend this property for anyone wishing to explore this unspoilt area of Italy.

A unique gem in the Tuscan hills!

  • 5 of 5

I have been lucky enough to be able to come back time and time again to this delightful house over many a summer to enjoy some respite, tucked away in the Tuscan hills. It is a truly magical place where you can re-set your soul. Away from the hustle and bustle of City life; waking in the clouds (literally) and watching the rural valley below come to life. I have enjoyed spending time lunching slowly on the terrace and long suppers, counting stars. This is a little gem, and once you go, you'll too keep coming back.

Owner's Response: Stefan and his lovely wife and boys really embraced their short stay at our house. They embraced the Italian lifestyle and made the most of experiencing the wealth of variety the area has to offer. Thank you for being the perfect guests.
