About Ivana Franceschi
I live in Dubrovnik, where I was born. I enjoy sports, specially running and free climbing. I love animals and nature and very often I go for a walk with my dogs. I enjoy cooking and there is nothing more inspiring for me, then to wake up early in the morning and go to the market to buy fresh groceries. I am the owner of the company "Adventure Dalmatia", which offers tourists a way the spend their vacation exploring the beautiful coast of the Adriatic sea. We specialise in organising hiking, kayaking and biking tours.
Ivana Franceschi purchased this Villa in 2006
Why Ivana Franceschi chose Postira
The island of Brac is the third largest island in Croatia. It is easily accessible from airport in Split. Ferry from the Split port takes only 50 minutes ride the the island. Situated in the ethno village of Dol, villa provides the feeling of peaceful and relaxing place, away from traffic and city rush. Crystal clear sea, small beaches and Mediterranean landscape makes it ideal rest place for both body and soul.
What makes this Villa unique
Dol village is located 2km from the sea and the town Postira. Villa Dol is 200 year old stone house, on the hill above the village of Dol. It is a peaceful Mediterranean house with a magnificent view of the sea across the wine and olive fields of the charming village of Dol.

Beautiful property in a lovely village!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home! The house is gorgeous and filled with everything you could need. The grounds are lovely and the views are spectacular. We relaxed by the pool taking in the peace and quiet of the area. The village of Dol is quite beautiful, full of picturesque stone buildings. There are a couple of restaurants and groceries within short walking distance, and Postera is a few minutes drive to a sweet port town with shops and restaurants. Ivana (and her adorable dog) were excellent hosts and made sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend this property for its beauty and quiet yet convenient location. I wish we could have stayed longer than a couple of days. Spend some time and settle inand you won't be disappointed.
We had a wonderful and very relaxing time in Villa Dol. The setting is beautiful and while the swimming pool was a little chilly to swim in in mid October we still enjoyed the nearby beaches (including swimming) and walks in the hills and along the shore very much. The owner Ivana has been a very caring host.
Wonderful, relaxing and beautiful
We had the most wonderful time in this amazing villa! The views are spectacular, and it is the perfect place to relax. The village itself has 3 restaurants which we found to have the best food in Croatia (we were touring the Islands). Ivana, the host, is quick to respond and extremely helpful, and we would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting the perfect holiday getaway. Thanks Ivana!
A wonderfully relaxing spot
We had a wonderful week's holiday at Villa Dol. The villa has a stunning view of the valley out to the sea. It is light, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We particularly appreciated the evening sun around the pool. Sandra, a friend of the owner Ivana, who received us at the villa was extremely helpful and pleasant. A lovely terrace with view for lunches and a barbecue and "summer kitchen" terrace for dinner. Dol is a very quiet little village with one particularly good friendly restaurant Kastil Gospodnetic. Just a slightly hairy steep path up to the house and tight turning area for cars. I would recommend this property to friends.
Gorgeous villla with fantastic views!
It was our first time in Croatia and it surpassed all expectations. The island was lovely, unspoilt, with stunning scenery and coastline.
The villa must be one of the nicest on the island. It is nestled in the hills in the tiny village of Dol. The views are stunning, looking over the valley with the sea in the distance. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance, although you are very much in the countryside.
The villa is very pretty, like an old Provence Farm House with blue shutters. It is very well equipped with all mod cons. There is a swimming pool and outdoor kitchen area. The owner couldn't be more helpful and arranged bike hire for us whilst there. We would thoroughly recommend it.
Exhausted family recharge in glorious surroundings
From the moment we arrived at Villa Dol we all knew we had found a very special place for our family to start our Croatian holiday - our 11 and 13 year old daughters were with us.
The villa is gorgeous, all rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We chose to eat in most times as the kitchen is fully functional, the outside bbq area is great and once the food was ready the only decision was whether to eat on the terrace under the tree looking down through the valley or at the outdoor dining table sheltered at the side of the villa. We ate once at the nearby 'Kastel' - a lovely 20 minute walk away.
We used the kayaks moored in nearby Postira on a number of occasions and loved exploring the coastline. We also visited the monastery - recommended by the super friendly Sandra and Tanya who welcomed us to the villa - well worth the hike.
We were all rather exhausted from a very stressful 6 months but can honestly say that the beautiful villa, stunning
location and endless chatter of the crickets made us instantly relax.
The only downside to villa Dol was sayiing goodbye but our 19 year old daughter was not with us so we will have to return with her!!
