Stepper Head is ideally situated in New Polzeath, being just 5 minutes walk to the magnificent surfing beach , scenic coastal path , shops and local restaurants , yet enjoying a quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac. It is perfect for families of all ages: features being the master bedroom with its own sitting room and en-suite bathroom, self contained accommodation in the separate annexe, a large attractive garden with far reaching views over fields and open countryside, and large paved driveway with parking for 4 cars. The garden is well equipped with garden chairs, sun loungers, a BBQ and a patio table for alfresco dining, and a swing set for the children. Numerous personal touches ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay, such as books, HIFI, DVD player, board games, toys for children. For small children, a travel cot, high chair, booster seat and steriliser are supplied. Beach kit including surf boards, wetsuits and wind breakers are available for use.

I purchased Stepper Head nearly 30 years ago when my 3 children were very young and since that time we have had wonderful family holidays there every year. We absolutely adore this very beautiful part of Cornwall and it is now most gratifying to see my children excitedly planning their own annual holidays at Stepper Head with their family and friends. I have over the years used my letting profits to continually upgrade and improve the accommodation and garden, and am very proud of the glowing testimonials received from my tenants many of whom return year after year. I live in Berkshire but my heart is in Cornwall and I take every opportunity to visit my lovely holiday home in New Polzeath several times a year.

Stepper Head is situated at the end of a cul- de- sac on a very quiet road and has a wonderful rural outlook whilst being within 5 minutes walk to one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall. We love walking the magnificent coastal path with our dogs ,also just 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Being a keen golfer I can choose between the scenic but challenging St Enodoc Links course just 10 minutes drive away and the even closer country club at The Point which offers golf, tennis , health club and swimming pool. There so many pubs and good restaurants within a short drive, including Rick Steins Seafood restaurant at Padstow

What makes this bungalow unique

Stepper Head has exceptional accommodation to suit a variety of family holiday requirements. There are 2 ensuite bedrooms , the master bedroom having its own sitting area, luxury bathroom, TV and sliding doors to patio and garden.

The annexe with double bedroom room and shower room has a games room with table tennis and TV thus providing ideal accommodation for youngsters. For the children there is a large garden with swing set and slide, for toddlers there are toys, a high chair and a travel cot, and for family entertainment there are numerous board games, playing cards and boule.

We offer guests complimentary use of surf boards , wind breakers and a small selection of wet suits.

A large paved driveway provides off street parking for at least 4 cars.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stepper Head The children absolutely loved the huge garden and were able to play for hours making most of the space, while we relaxed and enjoyed the lovely countryside views from the patio. it is very spacious and very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Stepper Head provides comfortable, spacious accommodation for large families. We have utilised its facilities and its handy location , within a short walk of the beach for 3 consecutive years. Being mainly on level ground, it has proved ideal for my parents who are in their mid eighties, and the annexe gives the extra privacy when our children visit with their spouses. Coast/Beach:

The magnificent surfing beach at Polzeath is about 5 minutes walk along a footpath. The beautiful sheltered sandy beach at Daymer Bay is approximately 7 minutes drive or about half an hours walk along the scenic coastal path.

Distances:

Local shopping in Polzeath is 5 minutes by car or 5 minutes walk along a footpath. The market town of Wadebridge , gateway to the Camel Trail which is popular with both walkers and cyclists is about 10 miles away. The village of Rock ,located on the Camel Estuary approximately 5 miles away, offers waterskiing, windsurfing and sailing facilities ,and a ferry service to Padstow.

Booking Notes:
A booking is confirmed on receipt of a signed booking form and 30% non refundable deposit. The balance plus refundable deposit of £100 is due 6 weeks before commencement of holiday. The deposit is refunded at the end of the tenancy on return of the keys and a report from the housekeeper confirming that the accommodation was left in good order and in a clean and tidy condition.

Notes on accommodation: The master bedroom is a real feature having its own sitting room (with sofa, coffee table and tv ) and luxury bathroom with separate megaflow power shower. the annexe provides ideal accommodation for those family members who want their own space and privacy . Ideal accommodation also for teenagers who will enjoy playing table tennis , watching their own tv or playing board games , thus not interrupting the quiet relaxing holiday so eagerly sought by mum and dad ! although the kitchen table extends to comfortably seat 8 persons, adults may choose to dine more formally in the sitting room which features a large wooden dining table seating 6 people. Alternatively, there is a teak table and chairs for alfresco or barbecue dining on the raised patio accessed from the living room through french doors. night storage heating in all rooms , wood burning stove in living room. this is a no smoking indoors property. Outside: Stepper Head has a large private south facing garden offering a superb environment for children to play and families & friends to relax. The garden has great views overlooking rolling hills and open countryside. Options for relaxation include garden chairs and sun loungers, parasol, patio table and chairs, barbecue, children's swing set and slide. There is a raised patio accessed from the Living room through French Doors and a further continuous slate patio running along the side and rear of the house. The Barbecue sits own its patio in a sheltered area of the garden. The ambience is further enhanced by an exotic plant border alongside the driveway and other shrub and flower borders at both the front and rear of the property.
