About Deirdre Reddin

Hello we are an Irish family and purchased the house in St. Vincent 13 years ago. Our family consists of 3 sons and 1 daughter. While the children were young they enjoyed their holidays here and speaking French. They have all grown up now and come here with their own friends. We have had many wonderful family holidays there over the past 13 years. Our extended family and friends have all spent time with us there. We have started to do summer gite rentals and hope that you enjoy staying in our peaceful haven in France.

Why Deirdre Reddin chose Persquen

We bought the house 13 years ago because we wanted to get the real feeling of living in France. This is a truly hidden gem and holidaying here will let you see the real hidden France. The property is situated in the Blavet Valley. The Blavet river flows through an exceptionally picturesque valley from Hennebont to Pontivy and offers a wide variety of activities and places to visit, yet it is only 20 to 30 minutes away from the beaches around Port Louis and Larmor Plage. With its mild climate this is an ideal location for a holiday at any time of the year.

The river is navigable to Pontivy where it joins the Nantes Brest canal, where relaxing boat trips or canoe hire for those that enjoy river activities.

What makes this house unique

Guemene sur Scorff a 10 minute drive away, is an ancient and historic market town. It thrives on good music and art festivals and delightful well preserved buildings. There are also plenty of pretty towns and villages to explore with busy markets. The Coastline is only 20 to 30 minutes away and there are many sandy wonderful beaches and hidden coves. Close by at Priziac is the lovely lake and play area. Here the family can relax, swim, go boating, picnic, and there is lots for children to do and is set in wonderful countryside. It is brilliant for walking, cycling and boating. Uncongested roads mean you can gently explore the surrounding area and Brittany's historic towns and villages at a relaxing pace.

Beautiful French Setting

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful Gite in a beautiful tranquil setting. The location of the Gite provides plenty to do whether it is a gentle stroll exploring the local countryside or trips to the coast or inland lakes which are within easy reach. The week in June went too quickly and we left refreshed after our holiday in this beautiful part of Brittany.

Really Stunning

  • 5 of 5

A perfect Home from home. We stayed in the cottage in St Vincent in July and just can't recommend the house highly enough . We explored the area really easily and enjoyed local walks. But having a gorgeous house to return to and BBQ in the beautiful garden made our stay extra special. We would highly recommend the cottage and would not hesitate to stay again.

Wonderful holiday

  • 5 of 5

A lovely house in a lovely location. We stayed in August 2013 in this beautiful house with our friends and a total of 4 children between us. There were 8 of us in total and we relaxed in the garden in the evenings cooking a wonderful BBQ. The location is ideal to explore many different parts of Brittany. We spent our days going to different beaches and had great fun exploring the local villages nearby.
