Conservatory/dining room. Freezer, washing machine & tumble drier & logs in storeroom. Enclosed, south facing garden with secure bike storage & bike washing facilities. Patio with furniture & BBQ in summer months. Parking for 2 cars. Reston Mill Cottage is located on the edge of the village & is perfectly placed for easy access on foot or by bike to the tranquil Kentmere valley. Situated in the National Park, 4 miles from Windermere & Kendal , Staveley is a ideal place to stay with great pubs, quiet walks & superb biking both on & off road. Jan to March - pay for 2 nights 3rd night free (excluding Easter). Please note that access to the rear garden & storeroom is down a few steps.

About Mrs C Peplow

Reston Mill Cottage has been the family holiday home for more than 25 years. I took over running the cottage from my parents in October 2014. Since then the cottage has had several updates & improvements. My husband Phil & I make many visits to Reston both to do regular maintenance and to enjoy the area on bikes & on foot.

Our principal interest is road cycling and enjoy riding the quiet lanes in the beautiful area south of Staveley and the challenge of climbing all the high passes.

We live in Staffordshire and run an internet based bespoke curtain & blind making business - we hope that you like our handiwork!

Why Mrs C Peplow chose Penrith, East Lakes & Eden Valley

This is our 2nd home and we like to make it as homely and welcoming as possible. We provide almost everything that you would have in your own home, All of the furniture has recently been replaced & is of excellent quality & very comfortable. The central heating is powerful & warm and heats the cottage very quickly, even in the depths of winter. In addition to the central heating, there is an open fire with a plentiful supply of hardwood logs.

A lovely, comfortable house in perfectly situated Staveley. Just at the start of the Lake District but still excellent walking nearby. don't miss the Hawkeshead brewery for delicious food and the best beer in the lakes ( all 10 mins walk from the cottage ). Thank you Cathy

Cosy, quiet, lovely

Well located for a quiet village experience. Lots of nice walks nearby. Great facilities in the cottage, owner has really gone above & beyond. The garden is huge!! BBQ was an added bonus. Spacious & Well decorated home with a real cottage vibe. Conservatory great for extra space. Games, blankets, towels, bedding, wood for the fire, every kitchen utensil imaginable - all included.

Would recommend highly for a quiet mini break. Local shops & activities are great. Windermere for example is a 10 minute drive. Our dog Mollie also loved her stay - especially the naps by the fire.

Cosy little cottage

We had a lovely time here. The place was spotless. For us it was in an ideal location 10 mins walk to the train station which takes you to either Windermere or kendal. To top it off its a 5 minute walk to Hawkshead brewery...perfect.

we like Stavely and have stayed previously in various properties , ideal location for us. Cottage was welcoming and adequate for our needs with having a pet.

Distances:

4 miles Kendal, 4 miles Windermere, 8 miles Ambleside. No more than 15 miles to Grasmere, Ullswater, Great Langdale & Coniston.
