About Philip Rowbottom
We are lucky enough to live, work and bring up our family in the Lake District National Park, North West England. We are passionate about providing luxury holiday accommodation in the Lake District and would love to share our beautiful cottages and village with others. Our background is in the Hospitality business and the knowledge we have gained over the years has made it possible to provide you with two of the very best self-catering cottages in Staveley. We have worked hard to make our cottages what they are and hope that you will come and enjoy them. We have a wealth of knowledge of the Lake District which we are happy to share both in person and via the information we have ready for you in the cottages. We hope to welcome you to one of our cottages very soon.
Philip Rowbottom purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Philip Rowbottom chose South Lakeland District
We bought Fell Cottage in 2006. Whilst spending time renovating it to an extremely high standard, we fell in love with the location and ended up buying and settling in our family home across the road. The area is rural but within easy reach of the village for walking the children to school or a stroll down to the pub. The M6 motorway is only 15 minutes and the whole of the Lake District is on our doorstep. What more could you want?

Gorgeous cottage, great location!
We stayed 3 nights in this lovely cottage in Staveley and wished we could have stayed longer. The weather was freezing but the cottage is so warm and cosy, we got the kitchen wood burner going and it was everything you might want from a country cottage! It's a great jumping off point for the Lakes, we visited all over and even the furthest side of the Lakes is only about 1 hour away. The brewery in the village does good beer and the food is excellent. Our daughter and dog were very happy in the cottage and we really hope to stay there again!
A beautiful property that enhanced our stay in the Lakes.
A delightful stay, in a perfect location for walking from the cottage or slightly further afield. We had everything we needed for self catering and great hosts.
Super 2 bedroom cottage in a lovely location.
