I was raised in Ulverston and love it. The town has a many attractions and a really friendly community. Everything can be accessed easily in the town and there are many lovely walks to do. It's wonderful to be so close to the English Lake District and the seaside. I love cycling and walking in the beautiful countryside as well as enjoying many of the local foods and beverages.

Gem of a place in the heart of Ulverston.

Amazing location so handy for all the shops, bars and restaurants. Parking directly outside. Despite its central location it's quiet and peaceful inside. It's very clean and well equipped and the wifi is excellent. The bed and sofa are both very comfortable.

Great gateway to the Lakes

I spent a very enjoyable few days staying at this flat in Ulverston. It is centrally located within the town, only a minute's walk from the nearest pub and 2 minutes from many other pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. The flat is in great condition with everything clean and new-looking. It has everything you could need in the kitchen, & I was happy to see a washing machine too.

Ulverston is a lovely little town with friendly locals, and it's a good base for exploring the Lake District. I'll be happy to stay in this flat again.

The apartment is located in the centre of Ulverston with the shops, pubs and restaurants of Ulverston being 1 minute's walk away along with the twice-weekly market. Lake Windermere and Lake Coniston are 12 miles away.

Further Details:

The ancient market town of Ulverston still holds a street market every Thursday and Saturday. Today it's well known as a festival town with events throughout the year, including walking and art festivals in the summer months and the renowned Dickensian festival in late November. One of the town's great claims to fame is as the birthplace of Stan Laurel - it is now home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world! Facilities include a wide range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, a cinema and a leisure centre. Whilst many Lakeland destinations have been developed beyond recognition, Ulverston still has an authentic feel and community spirit. All of the attractions of the National Park are easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Birkrigg Common's Stone Circle, Morecambe Bay and Lakes Windermere and Coniston.
