About Martin or Weng
Edinburgh residents (and superfans!) who take great delight when guests enjoy the city as much as we do. Easing ourselves gently into semi-retirement means we have time to indulge the passion we have for our home. This means you'll be dealing with us and not a 'manager' - all the better to ensure your time with us is as good as you'd wish.

Perfect in every way
The flat is spacious and immaculate, the decor tasteful, and the appointments so very thoughtful. We feel privileged to have stayed here!
The apartment is very well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean . The location is excellent being a short walk into the Old Town (10 min).
What made the experience very special were all of the extras Martin and Weng provided . We were most appreciative of not having to "shop for breakfast" and enjoyed the wine and chocolate left for us.
Communication with Martin was easy and arrangements for checking in were seamless.
We would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Edingburgh . Great value , just like a home away from home!!
Beautiful accommodation and great host
Martin and Weng are simply the greatest, before, during and after our stay in their beautiful flat in Edinburgh. Their flat was located in the same street as the student flat I lived when I first arrived in Edinburgh to study over 20 years ago! Walking through the Meadows to go to the Uni was like a deja vu to me.
Martin and Weng responded to my e-mails timely and sincererely about the flat, about the fringe and just about anything. Our flight was delayed, and we did not get to the flat till almost 2AM. They were patiently waiting for us to arrive and never complained! They helped us carry our heavy suits case upstairs and had everything ready for us for the good night sleep. They had a bottle of wine, fruits, snacks and basic breakfast materials ready for us the next morning. All the basic kitchen materials were there (butter, oil, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, tea, etc.), including all the utensils. They gave us a file with detail instructions of the flat and the equipment to use (e.g., dish washer, laundry machine, TV, internet). Better than any hotel I stayed at, and I travel a lot!
We had a wonderful stay in Edinburgh thanks to Marin and Weng. Thank you!
Great flat for a stay in Edinburgh. A quaint flat with an updated kitchen and bathroom. Clean, well kept with all the conveniences. Great location for access to the various sights in the City.
Stayed a little over two weeks at Martin and Weng’s place in Marchmont, and we cannot say enough good things about it. It’s large, well-appointed, clean, and well-located, and the hosts are happy to help any way they can. Hope to stay here again—soon!
Outstanding flat by The Meadow
My wife and I stayed here for four days as part of our 30th anniversary holiday. Martin and Weng made the entire process so easy. Their communication was outstanding throughout. The flat is located in a wonderful neighborhood south of The Meadow - ideally situated a short walk from Old Town but away from most of the tourists. The flat is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated with photos and art. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and sweets. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our entire experience!
The East Lothian coast with its myriad walks, links courses and pretty coastal towns can be reached quickly by car or train, as can the East Neuk of Fife with a string of charming fishing villages.
Edinburgh Airport (with flights to Europe, and multiple daily flights to London) is reached by a cheap & regular bus service stopping at the West End, Princes Street, Waverley Station.
Edinburgh's mainline rail stations serve the entire UK.
Car use isn't required in Edinburgh since everywhere is walkable, but drivers will find paid on-street parking in surrounding streets (Mon-Fri) and free on-street parking a short walk away. Long-term parking is also found in the city's main car parks.
Since Edinburgh is a compact city and a joy to walk around, distances are irrelevant given the proximity to the city centre. However those wishing to explore further afield will find Glasgow, Stirling, Perth and St Andrews within easy reach by car or public transport, with the majestic Highlands and the rural Scottish Borders quite feasible for day trips for those with a car.
