Lodge in Killigarth Manor, Polperro, Nr. Looe, Cornwall, England - The Lodge is Set on a Beautiful Woodland Terrace with Cliff Walks to Looe and Polperro

The lodge is situated in a secluded part of Killigarth Manor Holiday Park and you are free to use all the park amenities from March to October which include a large heated pool, gym, sauna, shop, kids club, nightly entertainment bar/restaurant/takeaway, crazy golf, tennis courts, and kids play area. From the large decking area of the lodge which is south east facing and has the sun until mid afternoon there are beautiful sea views over Talland Bay across Whitsand Bay to Rame Head and beyond. The lovely village of Polperro is a mile away by car or you could take a stroll down the cliff path for some delightful views to Polperro which is a quaint fishing village with a small beach, boat trips, and nice eating places. Looe is three miles away by car and has all the amenities you are likely to need including a lovely beach, shops, and restaurants, and doctors surgery.

Greetings!

My wife Maureen and I have been married for 36 years and have 3 sons, all the family being involved in hotels and entertainment as well as professional business commitments. We are both semi-retired now and all the family like to spend time at our lodge when not holiday let throughout the year, and we all enjoy the area very much.

Why John Stephenson chose South East Cornwall

Location in the Park

The one previous owner had primary selection of the lodge location when new in 2005, and in our view is the best park position with a patio sea view.

The lodge is situated on a secluded terrace with six other lodges on the edge of a woodland setting and the area is very quiet and tranquil but is still close to all the amenities on the site.

What makes this house unique

Our lodge is very close to the beautiful fishing villages of Polperro and Looe. The South West coastal path is only 1 mile walk away, and the decking sea view is across Whitsand Bay to Rame Head and beyond. The lodge is also a good daily base to travel from, and to visit and view all the lovely attractions of Cornwall, please come and enjoy.

Notes on accommodation: The lodge is finished to a high standard and we will accept small well behaved pets. Cots and high chairs available on request. No smoking within the lodge please outside on the decking is okay. Internet access is available within the park amenities, in addition to Lodge WiFi. All living requirements in the lodge - Food only needed for internal eating. Outside: Outside the lodge is a large gated decked patio area with a table and chairs, a large parasol, barbeque and patio heater, and there are lawns and gardens around the lodge, which is nice and peaceful. The large heated indoor swimming pool, other sports facilities, and play areas, shop, and eating/entertainment areas are approx. 5 minute walk away. Park shared facilities available March to end of October. All parking, access, services and outside lighting, as well as pet area use is available outside Mar. - Oct. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All beds are made up for your arrival, 6 bath towels and 6 hand towels are supplied. We do not supply beach towels.

Coast/Beach:

The South West coastal path is about a 1/2mile walking distance from the lodge and you can go East towards Talland bay and Looe, or West towards Polperro with absolutely lovely views out to sea. There is a beach in Polperro but is only accessible when the tide is out. Talland Bay has a nice beach with 2 cafes and toilets and is a 15 minute drive away. Looe has a lovely sandy beach with toilets and is accessible through the town and is also a 15 minute drive away.

Travel:

A car is necessary if you are going to travel distances although local transport to Polperro, Looe, and Plymouth is quite good. There is a train station in Looe which is one of the prettiest lines in Cornwall to Liskeard. Newquay airport is about a 45 minute drive away.

Distances:

The lovely fishing villages of Polperro and Looe are only 5 and 15 minutes away and they both have quaint little streets with lots of shops cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The Eden Project is about a 45 minute drive away. Mevagissey is about a 50 minute drive away which is a really pretty fishing village and you might want to stop at the Lost Gardens of Heligan on the way and make a day of it. There are lots of themed attractions for the kids within striking distance and many National Trust Gdns.

Further Details:

In Looe you have all the shops, cafes, bars, pubs, and restaurants. You also have a doctors surgery, and chemists. Further away in liskeard you have a big Morrisons super market and in Bodmin there is an Asda and Morrisons.

On site you have nightly entertainment with the Foxy club for the kids, full size snooker room, shop, restaurant/takeaway, heated pool, gym, sauna, tennis court, crazy golf, and children’s play area, free WiFi internet access in club house. All facilities open from March to October.
