About Merryn Regan

We made a life-style change and moved to Mullion with our children ten years ago. We were immediately attracted by the beautiful, imposing building of Parc Wartha, by the pretty, friendly village and the stunning scenery of the peninsula. Over the last nine years we have restored Parc Wartha into a lovely family home and holiday let, and have enjoyed sharing our love of our home and Mullion with our visitors.

Merryn Regan purchased this apartment in 2003

Why Merryn Regan chose Lizard Peninsula

Mullion is a friendly and lively place. Being the largest village in Cornwall there are plenty of amenities and things to do. It is well equipped with inns and restaurants, local supermarkets, art galleries, a craft centre, a heritage centre and a monthly farmers market. There is a calender of annual events to appeal to wide sections of the community and to visitors alike. These include the scarecrow spectacular (August Bank Holiday weekend), and Harbour Day amongst many others. The village is steeped in history arising from its cove and spectacular harbour, its geology and church. The unique scenery of the Lizard Peninsula boasts beautiful coastal walks, delightful gardens, magnificent beaches and traditional fishing villages.

What makes this apartment unique

Parc Wartha enjoys a central but quiet, tucked away position in the heart of Mullion village. It is just 50yds from shops, restaurants, the church and the village's two pubs and other amenities. Polurrian beach and coastal path are a pretty 20 minute walk away, and the harbour and Poldhu beach are also just a mile away. There is parking in the courtyard, and so much that is immediately available that some visitors to Parc Wartha do not use the car for the whole of their stay.

Perfect holiday on the Lizard

  • 5 of 5

Great apartment in the heart of Mullion with everything we needed right on the doorstep. We enjoyed long walks on the SW Coast Path, cycle rides, surf lessons, beaches, local pubs and a perfect week of sunshine. The apartment had all we needed for a week incl. a good size bathroom, kitchen, very comfy bed and living area. The owners were very nice, made sure we knew how to contact them if we needed, and made a great curry. We are hoping to be able to stay again in the future, possibly when it's a bit cooler so that we can try out the wood burner.

Really nice cottage style apartment - everything supplied for our needs so we could chill out

  • 5 of 5

We just wanted somewhere close to the sea so we could go to the beach if we wanted to - but comfortable so we could just stay in the apartment and watch wimbledon! This was perfect - very comfortable bed, good shower and TV, microwave and plenty of kitchen stuff for self catering like we wanted to do. Shop very close to get the bacon, eggs and repeat the complementary cream tea waiting for us when we checked in - loved it! Two pubs very close too - although the more traditional one very very busy - we never got to eat there but the Mounts Day Inn did a great Crab Thermidore and had a great deserts menu. The owners of the property also provide takeaway curry on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that was great too.

The only downside for us was the proximity to the Church Bells on Tuesday practice night !! and the steps up to the apartment were a bit steep but we coped.

Overall a really really nice place to stay and would definately recommend it for couples who want to chill out for a week in comfort

Great location

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely week and were blessed with great weather. The property is in the middle of Mullion village and well located for visiting the Lizard peninsula. Village has two pubs, various shops and cafes/restaurants. Short walk to the the coast path and Mullion Cove. Well equipped apartment, just right for two plus our lab. Steps are a bit steep but not a problem for us. Owners on the spot, helpful and friendly but not in your face. They also run The "Curry Van" two nights a week. Highly recommended!!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Traditional Cornish accommodation. Plenty of room for 2 people. Very comfy Queen size. Owners extremely welcoming with a cream tea. Absolutely delicious scones home made by the owner. Very well stocked Spar shop over the road and can recommend Scissors (hairdressers) also just a few yards away. And Mullion cove just over a mile away is breathtaking.
