If you are going anywhere in Cambridgeshire i recommend you stay here, spotlessly clean, no problems at all, fantastic location, exactly as described. We would love to return one day.

My visit to Ely was a combined trip of enjoying some chill time and to see with my daughter who lives locally. Despite the return of winter this past weekend I had a very enjoyable trip and an exceptional stay at Stable Mews. It was all and more than advertised, warm, homely, very clean and comfortable with beautiful furnishings with all the mod cons a Mom needs to cook and fill up her daughters freezer! Having stayed at the Hoist a property owned by the same family before, I knew the standards would be high and I certainly was not disappointed at Stable Mews. It was lovely again to find that there was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits waiting for me after a long tiring drive from Bristol, which is a nice touch.

Hidden Gem

A fabulous small house,quietly tucked away from the centre. It has everything you could possibly need as well as a small,private garden at the rear. There is parking space for 1vehicle. To walk into the centre will take approximately 2mins. There you will find something to suit everyone,whether it be shopping,eating,walking or discovering the history and the magnificent cathedral.

We love everything about Ely and staying at Stable Mews just about rounds it off.

A place to feel comfortable & at home

This is a place you will want to return to and trust me I know what I am saying, we have returned to Stable Mews in Ely five times so far and it won't be our last visit.

To see all that Ely, Cambridge and surrounding villages and towns have to offer this is the perfect location and Stable Mews is a warm, welcoming home to come back to each day. Its an easy 12 minute walk to Ely railway station or local buses are even closer.

Love having the view from the main bedroom out over the courtyard to the cathedral and the sunshine. The lounge room has a nice aspect and looks out to great courtyard space, (we liked watching the pigeons and occasional squirrel out there). This is a very quiet spot and yet just off the high street and a block away from the cathedral. We have walked all over Ely from the house with ease including grabbing groceries at Tesco by the railway station and Sainsbury's near the lovely canal walks.

AJ is a wonderful host and has been helpful, considerate and friendly from first contact through every visit we have had here.

The property is beautiful, sparkling clean and well fitted out with comfortable, attractive, modern furnishings. We have stayed in over 20 properties across the UK and not come across another that is so well set up and maintained. We will be back very soon and would recommend staying at Stable Mews to anyone stopping in Cambridgeshire for a few days or a few weeks.

lovely little gem

lovely holiday house in convenient location of Ely, lovely clean spacious and bright, and milk/tea/sugar and biscuits for your arrival

we will be back as we have family in Ely.

do visit the China Inn on Market street highly recommended great price for all you can eat buffet cooked for you on order.
