1 Porthminster Apartments is at the top of Porthminster Terrace, on the east side of St Ives, which means you don't have to negotiate the narrow streets of the town to get in and out. It is situated on the ground-floor of a recently converted end-of-terrace Victorian house with a dedicated private parking space, which is easily accessed, right outside the apartment. South-facing and sunny with a lovely sea view from the front garden and from the side bay window of the sitting room, the apartment is light and spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard.
It has 2 twin bedrooms (with comfortable beds!). One bedroom has an en-suite bath + shower over, WC & washbasin and the courtyard leads from this bedroom. A separate large shower-room, washbasin & WC is next to the second bedroom which is quite separately located in the apartment. This provides considerable privacy - ideal for 2 couples or a couple with children.
A well fitted and equipped, open-plan kitchen leads from the spacious sitting/dining room where you have attractive, comfortable seating, plus a lovely coastal view from the side bay window.
Facilities include: free wi-fi, gas central heating/instant hot water, heated towel rails, duvets and bedding suppplied (towels can be supplied for a small extra charge), washer/dryer, electric fan oven, gas hob with extractor, microwave, freestanding fridge/freezer, dishwasher, double glazed throughout, flat screen digital TV in sitting room (Free-view included), DVD player.
Outside there is a front garden for guests' sole use and this also enjoys the fine sea view, plus a separate westerly facing courtyard for visitors' sole use. The location is quiet, yet a short 5-minute stroll to Porthminster beach, St Ives' bustling centre, harbour, galleries, restaurants and shops.
Please note that St Ives is hilly, and the apartment is situated on a short but fairly steep terrace. The walk to and from the beach and the town also involves some steps.
We had a wonderful time, the weather was brilliant, and the apartment is spot on. Lovely welcoming decor and furnishings - everything spotless.We didn't want to leave. It's in a perfect location for beaches and the town. And to top it all - a parking space!

Have just returned from my fourth stay at this beautiful apartment. We had a glorious week with sunshine every day, and felt thoroughly rested. It was lovely to be able to park right next to the apartment and then not have to worry about the car at all - as the apartment is so convenient for the town, galleries, beaches, walks, and public transport we didn't need to use the car once! We found everything we needed in Apartment 1 and were very comfortable. Many thanks.

The location of this property is fantastic and really is a five minute walk to the beaches or center of st Ives. The property is easily found by car and having a parking space outside the property was a real Bonus in St Ives. The property is very bright and clean with everything needed for self catering but having said that, there are so many different types of eating establishments for all budgets we ate out every night. We would like to thank Lauren for her prompt and great customer service. Would definitely recommend this property. For eating out try the St Andrews Bistro( booking advisable) and the Curry Garden, both served great food. Try the train ride to St Erth (£4.00 for day ticket) as the scenery is fantastic. Thank you Lauren so much for a fantastic stay.
The apartment is in a wonderful location, so easy to find & makes getting in & out of st Ives by car very easy. Very close to the gorgeous beaches & the centre of st Ives, we had some fabulous walks from here

Great position above Porthminster Bay, as with most of St Ives you get plenty of exercise getting to and from the beaches. A quiet area with easy access and car parking. The apartment which is ground floor within a large Edwardian end terrace has been completely modernised and everything is finished to a very good specification. Comfortable, very clean and nothing to worry about.

As soon as we walked into the apartment we felt at home !! Everything you need for a family holiday. Could not believe how big it was. 2 nice size bedrooms and each one had an on suit which is perfect when you have a family of 4. Nice big lounge to relax in the evening as well. Fantastic location about 10 mins walk from the beach, it was a lovely walk each night to walk off the lovely food we had in St Ives. Car park space is a major plus point as you can park directly outside the apartment. We loved it so much we have booked for same time next year. Would defiantly recommend this to anyone staying in St Ives

Three friends come to St Ives every couple of years to attend courses at the School of Painting. This has to be the best accommodation we have found here; ideal for our needs and perfect in every way! We were all so impressed by this impeccably presented, attractive, very spacious apartment; its warmth, comfort, parking space and ideal situation. A 5-minute downhill stroll to the beautiful Porthminster beach (with its celebrated Porthminster Beach Cafe) and a short walk to the harbour and St Ives' other beautiful beaches. As you walk to the town, enjoy the breathtaking views of the harbour and Porthminster beach from the viewpoint!

St Ives is probably one of the most famous Cornish holiday towns in Britain with its clear blue waters, golden sands and friendly people. The mild sub-tropical climate, warmed year round by the Gulf Stream, is a magnet for visitors.
Life here wraps around the harbour where boats still land good catches of fresh fish for the local restaurants which are among some of Britain's finest. A maze of tiny cobbled streets to wander through, lined by fishermen's cottages, with a breathtaking seaside vista to greet you at the end of each one, entrances the visitor.
The Tate St Ives gallery occupies a stunning position with an unforgettable view on Porthmeor beach - not to mention its wonderful exhibitions!

Unfortunately we cannot accept bookings from groups of single persons under the age of 30 years, or all male or female parties in excess of two.
Saturday in peak season, flexible at other times. Arrival is after 3pm and we request departure by 10am at the latest. Please note: our cleaners arrive promptly at 10 and have to begin cleaning then. They also need the parking place at that time.
