A great find, don't hesitate to book this lovely cottage
Just had two wonderful nights here at Tinsmiths cottage, and everything was just great. The cottage is full of character, really well equipped and in an ideal location to explore the surrounding countryside. Our children were very sad to leave, so we've promised we will come back again soon. Thanks to Ian for allowing us to swap our dates at last minute.
Cute cottage in Cromford
Well equipped cottage that was warm and cosy. It had everything we needed (minus a proper coffee pot! :-)) and a great fish and chips place/ the Greyhound pub across the road. Lots of linen and towels and a nice travelcot for our baby were provided. Good value for money. Thanks Ian and Lesley.
Thank you for your comments. So pleased that you had everything you needed - we'll see what we can do about a coffee pot!
Homely historic cottage in interesting village
Tinsmiths Cottage provided a warm and comfortable base for our family get-together. It is to be found in a secluded area behind the main street, so whilst very convenient for local shops, pubs and places of interest it was quiet and private. Whilst parking is not available actually at the property we found the parking described in the particulars very easy to use and in fact unloaded from there.
For the history buffs Tinsmiths is positioned in an area of listed historic and architectural interest which is fascinating.
Lovely place, would go again.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your comments about parking - no guest has had a problem to date.
Quaint, well equiped and comfortable
The photos don't do this lovely cottage justice; it is very comfortable, has everything that you need and is tucked away, even though it is in the centre of the village.
Thank you for your kindly review. You are right about the photos - we are currently in the process of changing and up-dating them.
Lovely little cottage with history at the front door
This is a very neat, clean and comfortable character cottage. Access could not be simpler. It was really interesting to have the "bear pit" right outside the door which is a part of the birthplace of the industrial revolution. Good pubs, restaurants and cafes are within metres and you can set off into the countryside from the doorstep. There were all the facilities you would expect but If you are looking for modern decor and furnishings this is not the place for you. We were not so it was perfect. If you want a base to explore the southern peak district at a good value price look no further.
Thank you for your comprehensive review. We are so pleased you all enjoyed your stay. Yes, there are many lovely walks in the area and you don't need a car to enjoy them.
Lovely cottage, clean and lovely location
It was really nice staying at the cottage, very close to a lot of places with history.
Thank you for leaving a review. So pleased you enjoyed your stay.
