The Annexe is a 2 bedroom property attached to a Scottish Baronial House in the heart of the Broomieknowe historic conservation area on the edge of the picturesque village of Lasswade. It is very hard to believe that it is just 6 miles to Edinburgh's city centre with a great Bus route, the Bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the property. There are excellent facilities in the area a wide range of recreational and leisure facilities, as well as a number of golf courses including Kings Acre, Broomieknowe and the Melville Golf Centre.

The Pentland Hills offer a variety of picturesque walks and there is the Hillend dry ski slope. Lasswade is also well located for access to the City Bypass, with connections to Edinburgh Airport and the Central Scotland motorway network.

                                                              The house is in an excellent location, close enough to enjoy Edinburgh, which was very busy with the Fringe Festival and the usual tourists and far enough to get some peace and quiet after a hectic day. The house is excellent with all the facilities you need, it is clean and looked after with lovely decor (as soon as we put our bags down when we got there our daughter asked if we could come back). It is very handy for the local golf courses, which there are many with Melville Driving Range & Broomieknowe Golf Course, which is very friendly and in good nick a 3 minute drive away. There are loads of places to eat in or near Lasswade if you don't want to go too far, did not have a compliant in all the places we ate, again excellent quality and very friendly places to go. Janet, the owner welcomed us on arrival and was on hand if we needed anything, we really felt comfortable being there and will be returning hopefully next year. The transport links into Edinburgh are excellent, park and ride is available at nearby train stations where you can park your car for free, the highlight of our trip was the visits to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Yacht Brittania in nearby Leith, both are brilliant. Would highly recommend the property and have already passed on the property/owner details to friends and family. Fantastic place to stay and a great city to visit.

                                                              It was an absolute joy to stay at this home as everything was provided and the owners made us feel very welcome. The property is secure, the interior of the home is spacious, clean, family friendly and beautifully decorated. The location is private and within an easy drive to Edinburgh and coastal villages. Janet and David were wonderful hosts - we will recommend to others.

Night Bus Available. Local shops on the high street are within 15 mins walking distance and include a Bank & Cashpoint, Post Office, Co op,Newsagent, Doctors & medical centre, Bakers,Pharmacy,Hairdressers and Beautician. Tesco Super Store with Petrol Station is 2 miles. Highly recommended local Take aways including award winning Indian restaurant. Restaurants in Lasswade Village include The Paper Mill with outdoor eating and drinking by the River. Traditional Pub in the village The Laird and Dog. GiGi Italian Restaurant on the high street all within a 15 minute walking distance. A little further away 10 minute taxi/car ride is the award winning Gastro Pub The Sun Inn. Edinburgh Festival are in July and August.
