This penthouse apartment is in the heart of the town and only a short level walk from the shops,restaurants and local amenities.This quality apartment is located on the river front and enjoys superb harbour and estuary views. It is across the road from the river and has its own balcony. Throughout the summer months there are regular ferry trips to Kingswear, Dartmouth Casle and Totnes, from the nearby quay.

This comfortable apartment is well fitted throughout and appointed to a high standard. It has Economy 7 heating, if required, for the winter months and is an ideal base for any time of the year.

The entrance to the apartment is through a communal entrance hallway with stairs leading up to the apartment.

with colour tv and subtle wall lights - this room enjoys superb river views through three arched windows, one of which opens onto the recessed balcony.

The dining area which is open from the lounge has delightful exposed beams.

Fantastic view!

My partner and I came here for a low key Christmas break and had a fabulous time. The apartment had everything we needed - especially the view - even at night there is something to watch. Dartmouth is wonderful, small, compact but with lots going on and beautiful historic buildings. The pubs were great with excellent service and very friendly locals. Honourable mentions to the Dartmouth Arms and the Seale Arms (went there for the football and the staff could not have been more welcoming). I will definitely return to Dartmouth!

Very inviting penthouse

This was the first time we have stayed in this penthouse and we thoroughly enjoyed everything it had to offer. The lounge was very comfortable and furnished well together with a well equipped kitchen - we cooked most evenings and had a lovely choice of plates, glasses etc. We were at the apartment in December so we did not use the balcony as such but we can imagine it would be great to use in warmer months and watch the activity on the River Dart. Regardless, we could do likewise when sitting in the lounge. We felt quite at home in the penthouse and we will definitely return and the 56 steps up to apartment certainly kept us fit!

Amazing views

This apartment is ideally placed for everything Dartmouth has to offer, though climbing 58 stairs to reach it is not ideal for bringing in and taking out luggage or shopping, but the views alone are worth it.

There were one or two little niggles, i.e. a very loose headboard, a broken door handle to the wardrobe, and the toilet seat was loose, which were reported to Mr. Scorer, and we felt that the apartment could do with a little t.l.c. If you are a light sleeper the noise of a generator from a nearby restaurant can be annoying, otherwise a lovely relaxing week. We even saw a seal early one evening when we were watching the world go by from the balcony.

One thing which was quite upsetting was on one day I reversed parked into the allocated parking space, as it was quite difficult to reverse out onto the road the previous couple of days because of cars parking slightly across the entrance . The next morning there was a very curt note on my windscreen telling me in no uncertain terms that I was not to reverse in and should park as close to the wall as possible.

If you want a really lovely afternoon tea, or just a snack you must visit the little tea shop in Cockington Forge. It's called Weavers Cottage and everything is so fresh and very very reasonably priced. I had a high tea of tuna and mayo sandwich with salad and crisps, scone, clotted cream and jam, and all for £5.95. My friend had a cheese scone which was served with a lovely fresh salad, chutney and a large chunk of cheese. At only £4.95 it was amazing. We were only sorry we didn't have time to pay it another visit.

Fantastic week

We have always gone abroad for our holidays but decided to try Devon for the 1st time this year. We booked the Penthouse apartment as it overlooked the river, and I am so pleased we did. The apartment was perfect for our family. A lovely size and views we couldn't tear ourselves away from. There are 2 tvs in the apartment, neither were switched on as there was constant entertainment on the river! The apartment is situated right in the heart of Dartmouth, so close to all shops, and the boat trips were all literally across the road. Location could not have been better. An amazing place to stay in a beautiful town. Its a good 8 hours from our home to Dartmouth, but it was worth every minute! I do hope we will come again, and staying in the Penthouse will be our first choice! Thank you

Perfect location

Just coming to the end of a lovely holiday in Dartmouth. This apartment is in the perfect location, right on the riverfront with great views from the good sized balcony. The climb to the top of the building (56 steps!) might be difficult for some but the apartment is worth the effort. The stairs up are clean and airy and on entering the apartment it is full of light and very nicely furnished and decorated. It is equipped with everything you will need for a self catering holiday with plenty of shops very close by. Your own parking space, enough for a small car, is an added bonus in Dartmouth. The glorious weather this week together with this lovely apartment, made for a lovely holiday.

Lovely apartment in a great location

We chose this apartment for its proximity to the river, and it had fantastic views. It was great to watch the ferries coming and going, and could even see Dartmouth Castle (take your binoculars!).

It was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. As it was February, we were a bit concerned that the flat might be chilly, but it was too warm if anything. Really cosy and homely.

There is a Co-Op just around the corner, and an M&S foodstore about 5 minutes' walk away. There are plenty of indedpendent shops to wander around, as well as a few chains (Fatface/Joules etc). We had a supberb breakfast at Alf Resco, and a very nice evening meal at the Dartmouth Arms.

A very pleasant stay, and would certainly return if we stay in Dartmouth again.
