Beautifully relaxing, welcoming cottage
Great for a weekend away from it all - fab walks and pub lunches, and Maeve was fantastic!
Thank you for the review. I hope I might see all of you here again sometime. Maeve
A fantastic setting walks in all directions close to Castleton and Hope
A great place for walker, dog owners and People with an interest in horses.
Good local shop in Hope and nice friendly restaurants and pubs in castleton.
Cottage had comfy beds and seating area. Owner friendly and helpful.
Although the cottage is lovely and in a fabulous place we encountered a few problems which do need some attention. The wood burner door doesn’t close properly so the heat didn’t warm the downstairs room despite putting more logs on it was cold. Good job we brought blankets with us. There was a disgustingly dirty toilet brush in the downstairs wet room which urgently needs replacing. The place needs a good clean as there were cobwebs and some areas hadn’t been cleaned properly. Some pillows were very dirty and need replacing. Glad I took my own with me. Despite the cleanliness issues we did have a wonderful stay and I would return but hopefully the issues mentioned will have been rectified. Overall we enjoyed our break.
Romantic little cottage
My daughters and I loved to stay here as it is an idyllic place. Quit yet enough to do near and around the cottage like walking, taking care of the horses, enjoying the scenery.
Lovely cottage in a great location for walking. We were able to give the car a rest and still access Castleton and Hope easily by foot. Cottage has a lovely, private garden and is well equipped.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful time at Harry Eyre Cottage. Maueve was a gracious host.
Cottage has all the key things you need including towels, good amount of cutlery, plates etc.
Comfortable beds with a choice of pillow types. Car port for 2 cars.
Convenient location with good road up to it.
Clean & tidy. Good shower. Lovely garden with table & chairs - cushions in the cupboard under the stairs!
We had a slight issue with the DVD player but Maueve sorted it within 5 mins of telling her.
Just what we needed for a girly weekend. Likely to be back next year!
