About the property

House in Anarita, Paphos and Suburbs, Paphos (South Cyprus), Cyprus

Our place in the sun in Anarita (8 mins from the airport), a village in the Paphos region. The motorway linking Paphos, Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia not too far away. For exploring the beautiful country of Cyprus, especially the Troodos Mountains, a car is advisable (we can recommend a car rental company). The house is furnished to a high standard, with a balcony off the main bedroom and an outside patio with a small garden opening on to one of the three communal pools.

About Gerald & Vivienne Morris

We are both retired, living near St.Albans. We first visited Cyprus in 1999 and made subsequent visits for holidays staying in hotels along the beautiful coastline of Paphos. We purchased our property off plan in 2006 after going along to the developers road show near to where we lived at the time. We visited the development frequently to see the progress from a field to the site it is now. Our 3 grown up daughters have been for holidays. It is an absolute delight to see our grandchildren have such a great time there in a lovely safe environment.

Why Gerald & Vivienne Morris chose Paphos & Suburbs

We bought the property off plan after visiting Pafilia's (the developer) roadshow in UK. Anarita looked like just what we wanted, a traditional quiet village but a very good starting point to visit the country of Cyprus. After visiting one of Pafilia's other developments, it confirmed that we had made the right decision. We can be in the house 8 mins after leaving Paphos airport, and we have easy access to getting around for exploring. Our setting is lovely and quiet away from the crowds, surrounded by countryside. We have made some very good friends here, some of whom have made Anarita Chorio (the developments' full name) their permanent home.

What makes this house unique

We have aimed to make our home in the sun a homely and welcoming property having furnished it to a high standard. You can be sure of a really relaxing holiday, a good place to wind down with 326 days of sunshine a year and a swimming pool a step away from the garden. If you don't want to drive we are served with a Co-op supermarket in the village and a few restaurants, all within walking distance. There is a local bus service which will take you to Paphos for its shops, bars, and restaurants.

Excellent Property

  • 5 of 5

This is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxing holiday.

The property is located on an excellent development and very clean and well maintained. I was impressed how comfortable the bedrooms are and all the furnishings are of a high standard.

Viv and Gerald provided us with some good recommendations for local restaurants and beaches. The village of Anarita is walking distance from the property.

We also went to Kouklia (10 minute drive) which is another pretty village. All restaurants in Anarita and Kouklia are of good quality and if you want to experience traditional Cypriot hospitality I would stay here in Anarita.

I shall miss the villagers morning and evening waves and smiles.

I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Home from Home

Lovely house in a complex that is quiet and relaxing and very well cared for. The townhouse has everything you need for your stay, and is a real home from home. The property is well equipped and extremely well looked after. It is presented in excellent condition. The owners Gerald and Vivienne are extremely helpful, promptly and efficiently responding to any questions. They made booking the house simple, yet informative. For me there was the added bonus with the property as it has Wi-Fi which worked perfectly. The airport is only a 10 min drive max (no noise) and Paphos itself is about a 15 minute drive. So I highly recommend this house which provides all the necessary home comforts and is perfect for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to enjoy all the amenities of Paphos itself

Nearest Airport
4 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway
2 Kilometres
Nearest Beach
4 Kilometres
Car: necessary

2 beaches a few minutes away by car, Timi (with bar/restaurant) and Mandria, both pebble and sand.

For sandy beaches try Coral Bay or Corallia Bay, a 30 min drive away. Not so far to go is a municipal beach next to Alexander the Great hotel (15 min drive) towards Paphos harbour. These have good facilities including bars/restaurants. If you want to go a bit further, Lachi on the north coast about 50 mins away but worth it for the drive alone. Cyprus is well known for its blue flag beaches.

Paphos Int airport is the nearest and it takes about 8 mins to reach the house. There is a taxi rank at the airport but we can also arrange a meet and greet personal service paid locally. Many airlines fly into Paphos including BA, Easy Jet, Ryan Air, Monarch, Thos Cook and Thompsons. Car hire is highly recommended. For something different try the local bus service. 5 euro for the whole day on any bus.

Anarita Village, 5 min walk. 15 min drive to Paphos with its World Heritage Centre of mosaics. In Kouklia, 10 mins drive away there is another Heritage site for those who have an interest in history. Visit the Troodos mountains, the highest point on the island, takes approx. 50 Min in the car. In Paphos town you can arrange excursions including trips to the North (Turkish owned) Cyprus and boat trips.

Further Details:

We have a welcome pack with helpful info plus routes to various places including supermarkets, restaurants, and Coral Bay etc. There are plenty of books on Cyprus with maps, walking routes and lots of information about Cyprus for your use. There are several restaurants in the village but we also suggest going further afield to nearby villages and trying

their own often locally produced food, for authentic Cypriot cuisine. If you love your fish and chips please try the fish and chip shop in nearby Mandria. Although there is a small co-op supermarket in the village, we recommend the Fruit market supermarket (Fruitaria), a 5 min drive for the best fruit & veg and any other groceries. We even have a Lidl supermarket a 15 mins drive away.
