About Marielle Hemingway

Dorset Cottage Holiday was set up by Chris and Marielle Hemingway to provide quality self catering holiday cottages in Dorset. Marielle has used her background as an experienced Interior Designer to bring a blend of comfort, style and heritage to Cottages undertaken.

Jasmine Cottage has been an exciting renovation project, completely refurbishing the property to the highest specifications, with the addition of a spacious kitchen dining room and new master bedroom. We are excited to open our renovated cottage to guests and we hope you can share in this too!

The lovely finish with attention to detail, the great views and peaceful garden sealed the deal for us. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do!

Notes on accommodation: Two parking permits for the area are supplied. Outside: The garden is to the rear of the house and features a paved area with a variety of plants in decorative beds. A next door church abuts the garden and makes a lovely feature. The positioning of the garden makes it a sun trap for relaxed afternoons. Utility Room: The utility room is equipped with a washer/dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen are included Towels on request £5 per set Other: A Conservatory leads from the kitchen to the garden.

Superb location and accommodation.

House was beautifully furnished and very cosy, yet large enough for 8 adults. Situated right in the harbour, close to all amenities. Marielle, the owner, was exceptionally helpful prior to our visit, answered all our queries promptly and arranged additional parking for us. We had a wonderful family reunion and would love to return.

Beautiful house, stunning outlook

The house is beautifully decorated, and so cosy. We didn't actually go out that much because we all liked the house and decided to stay in! Views from the house are stunning and with the centre so close the location is brilliant. We would all stay here again and I can't recommend it enough.

absolutely fab house, great location! helpful owners who contacted us during our stay. had big family birthday so lots of room etc/facilities. highly recommended! liked it so much weve just bought an apartment on brewers quay!

Lovely big house in Central location

5 Adults and 2 toddlers stayed here for a week. Lovely big house plenty of space for all of us. Very central location right on the nice side of the harbour. Great views of the harbour and people watching out the window! Easy work to everywhere in Weymouth. Will definitely be staying here again.

We visited Bridge View with my family for new year & it was amazing. The house is so beautiful, finished to such a high standard & so comfortable. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The bedrooms are so big & in our double bedroom we had plenty of room for my sons ready bed & a travel cot for my daughter.

The view is beautiful & can imagine on a sunny day it looks stunning (I'm afraid we didn't get many of those).

It's so nice to sit on the sofa near the window & just people watch. My 3yr old found it highly entertaining watching all the people in fancy dress on new year- he loved it!!

The location is just perfect, 10 min walk to the beach (if that) & lots of shops just over the bridge if anything is needed urgently. There is also a massive Asda just down the road too.

Great if you want to go out & have a drink as everything is in walking distance- the pub just down the road (2mins ago) is very warm, friendly & good food too!!

I could not recommend this house anymore for that big family break away, the kitchen is great for the big family meals, all appliances etc you would ever need. If you choose this house you will have a lovely relaxing break away in a prime location.

Owners are v friendly too & if there are any problems they are on hand whenever you need them.

Perfect Luxury Renovation

We stayed here for the New Year break for 3 nights. The house has been renovated to a very high standard and has everything you might need for a perfect family break.

The location is perfect for the Town, Beach and Harbour .Shops and Pubs/Restaurants are literally on the doorstep. Everything is as described.

We are now considering rebooking for the spring summer.

One suggestion to the owners would be to supply a Hoover so that we could have left the house as we found it.
