We had never visited this part of France before and were quickly enchanted by it's villages and countryside. The gite where we stayed was lovely, surrounded by gardens and 'play' areas. We stayed in the smaller of the gites and were happy with everything we found. The pool is great, we have two young children who would have been in it 24/7 if it wasn't for the towns, villages and castles that we chose to visit during our two week stay.
Tracy and her parents were super friendly to us, and nothing was any trouble. We really appreciated the quietness of the place and were sad to leave.
We are really looking forward to coming back next June.
Would definitely recommend. :)
This was our seventh stay at these wonderful gites,so I think that says it all.
Our family of four including two young children have holidayed all over France but as soon as we found the gites, that was it and now we are hooked.
They are so quiet and secluded and are so child friendly. The pool is incredible with its own oak pavilion which is perfect for escaping the sun when it gets too hot.The gites are really cool inside and are absolutely spotless.
The village is a 10 minute stroll down the lane and is beautiful.
There are some beautiful attractions round about and canoeing down the dordogne is a must.Tracy and her family are so helpful and live just down the hill so are on hand if you need anything.
Overall I can't rate this place any higher,so give this place a try and I promise you'll get hooked just like we did...see you soon Tracy!!
The accommodation was perfect, with everything that you would need, it was very clean and very comfortable. The area offered many attractions and we spent time at the night markets, swimming in the river and hours in the pool! We could easily of spent more time here and we would definitely recommend this gite to others and do hope to return. The hosts were welcoming, informative and on hand if needed. A lovely holiday! Julie, James, Matilda and Mabel
This review is really late but we've only just become aware of Tripadvisor! Four years ago our family and friends had the most wonderful summer holiday in these gites. There were 16 of us all together and the family who own the buildings were incredibly welcoming and friendly, as were their two dogs Ty and Lara, who would just wander into out gites and fall asleep - all of our kids loved them! We had our own pool, which the kids (and adults!) had hours of fun in. The location and the gites were stunning. Hope all of the family are well! We hope to come back one day in the not too distant future.
I don't normally write reviews for anything, but felt I had to let you all in on this little hidden gem!
A Beautiful property. It was very clean, large and cool inside with everything we needed and so much space outside! No roads, no traffic, just lots of peace and quiet!
Many a day was spent relaxing in the hammocks and at the pool and the kids had endless hours of fun in the great park area and woods which was truly an added bonus!!
The local village is stunning and only a short walk away through the wooded lane - great for morning croissants!!
A short drive to all the attractions and the whole area is just stunning.
Book this property you certainly wont be disappointed by anything!!!
Tracy is the most welcoming host I have ever met! From the moment we arrived to the day we left she made us feel completely welcome and at home. I have no faults at all, the gite was absolutely beautiful, the swimming pool was perfect for my boys as well as the play park, and the peace and tranquility at night was just what we needed! There is a village a 10 minute walk away which has everything you could want, or a short drive takes you to some bigger towns if you want to do a bit more serious shopping! We have already booked to come back next June!
