This modern, bright and clean apartment is situated a short walk from the restaurants, tapas bars and shops of historic Mijas Pueblo. The complex has a shared swimming pool and large sun terrace with sun beds provided. The apartment has a large private south facing terrace serving the main bedroom and living room, with stunning sea and town views. The apartment is equipped with wifi broadband internet. Sky and UK TV channels are available on the TV via internet.

Local public transport is excellent, so renting a car is not a necessity. However, for those who choose to rent one, there is a secure allocated parking space available in the community car park.

Bookings for the apartment are co-ordinated by an Englishman called Lee, who also lives within the apartment community. He will meet you on arrival, hand you the keys, and show you the apartment. He can also arrange transfers from/to Malaga Airport if required. Lee will usually be the person who responds to your enquiry, so do not be alarmed by receiving an email from him (not me). Having lived locally for many years he also speaks fluent Spanish (very useful).

Mijas Pueblo is a town full of character, with white-walled houses and narrow cobbled streets. The streets are quite steep in some places, so it may not be an ideal destination for those with severe mobility problems.

I've been in IT (or "computing" as we used to call it) for far too long, so I've spent several years learning the practise of shiatsu, a deeply relaxing acupressure therapy.

Why Lee (UK mobile number) chose Mijas area

While planning a trip to the Costa del Sol to find our ideal place to buy a property, Mijas was simply a lucky guess. Not exactly a pin stuck blindly into a map, but close to being that. We booked an apartment in Mijas Pueblo (via Owners Direct), with the intention of spending a week driving around a large area checking out coastal and inland towns, looking for the perfect spot.

After 2 days of driving we took a day off to have a really good look around Mijas Pueblo and to take a long walk up into the Sierra de Mijas mountains that form a beautiful backdrop to the town. That was when we realized that we did not need to drive around seeking Nirvana any more, we were already there.

What makes this apartment unique

Mijas Pueblo simply has everything I love.

1. The Mediterranean very visible, conveniently close to the hurly burly seaside activity and rollicking nightlife of Fuengirola and Los Boliches.

2. Far enough above all that hurly burly to be a haven of peace and tranquility.

3. Amazing walking in the Sierra de Mijas mountains right behind the town. Especially beautiful in spring, when the sierras are a riot of colourful flowers and fragrant wild herbs.

4. It is still very Spanish. Come at Easter to see the Easter week processions wind their way through the cobbled streets.

5. While retaining it's Spanish roots, the town has a cosmopolitan, multi-national feel.

Our apartment is in a quiet spot, yet very close to the restaurants and shops. With private parking and handy communal pool.

Outside: The well maintained swimming pool is 1.4 to 1.5 metres in depth and is shared with other owners/guests of the complex. Children must be supervised at all times when in the pool. The pool is accompanied by a spacious sun terrace with exceptional coastal and town views. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: There are plentiful towels, pool towels and bedlinen provided and we welcome you to make use of the washer/dryer.

A Home from Home

Just got back from our amazing 10 day stay in Mijas Pueblo and this wonderful apartment, it was like a home from home, even down to the sewing kit!! Superb. Apartment size excellent and the balcony gave such stunning views. Everything you could want and need in the apartment, a god send having a washer/dryer meant clean towels every day.

The pool area was so tranquil, so nice not to have to put your towels out at 6am to "bag" a sun bed and plenty of umbrellas. Once again stunning views.

Plenty of eating places within walking distance and such a pretty place.

Would most definitel recommend this villa, only downside was trying to find it, very difficult first time but thankfully met just down from Bus Parking by Lee's friend and she sat in the car and guided us in, otherwise think we would have never found it, well worth the find though.

Really enjoyed our stay in Mijas Pueblo

We had a lovely stay in Mijas Pueblo in a great apartment. The apartment had everything you would expect with all the home comforts and more. Wifi, English channel TV and air conditioning are a must for us and this had apartment had all three. In addition it was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The views from the terrace were amazing and we spent a lot of time out there. We didn't use the swimming pool area but it is a real asset for anybody who cares to. The apartment location is ideal and it is just a short 10 minute walk to the town center. Everything ran very smoothly for us from booking the apartment to our departure with no problems at all. Steve and Lee were very helpful to us and we would certainly love to stay at the apartment and indeed Mijas again.

Lovely relaxing break

We have been to Mijas Pueblo many many times. This apartment is in a lovely part of the village. Great views from the balcony. Apartment very clean with everything you need. Only 5 mins walk to village centre.

Car parking space very welcome as parking can be a nightmare in the village.

Lee met us and was very nice..

We are staying in Mijas for 2 weeks in Sept and unfortunately for us we are staying in another apartment the other side of village. We will stay here again next June hopefully. Many thanks!! Andrea

Perfectly located and appointed

We had a wonderful week in Mijas. The apartment is perfectly located on the quiet outskirts of the village but only a 5 minute walk to the centre. Driving in for the first time down some VERY narrow streets was a bit hairy, but helped enormously by Lee meeting us on the outskirts of town and leading us through – much appreciated! The apartment itself is well appointed, comfortable and modern with everything we needed. I’d recommend driving down the coast a little to Cala de Mijas for a quieter beach than at the large resorts. I’d also recommend the Secret Garden for a meal – the bbq is amazing and it’s very child-friendly. We travelled in early May and apart from one overcast day, we enjoyed sunshine and temperatures in the mid-20s Celsius. I’d highly recommend Mijas and this apartment!

The bustling coastal towns of Fuengirola and Los Boliches are about 10 minutes drive from Mijas. Quieter beaches can be found along the coast. There is a good bus service from Mijas Pueblo to Fuengirola (approx every 30 mins, journey about 20 mins). Regular buses also to Torremolinos, further along the coast. The bus service is very cheap (€1.55 to Fuengirola during 2016).


Malaga airport is about 25 minutes drive away but pick ups can be arranged if you do not want to rent a car. Alternatively there is a regular train service from the airport into Fuengirola from where buses go directly into Mijas Pueblo. The train/bus journey is incredibly easy. Approx 200m walk to Malaga Airport train station, and approx 200m walk from Fuengirola train station to the bus station. Look for the bus stand for the M-122 service to Mijas.


There are so many interesting places to visit its impossible to list them all. Gibraltar and Ronda are about 90 minutes drive, Marbella and Puerto Banus about 40 minutes, Nerja about an hour and even Morocco is within reach with ferries from Algeciras. Travel is made easy with modern motorways which tend to be quite quiet, they are toll roads, though.

Nearby, the coastal towns of Fuengirola and Los Boliches are just 3-4 kilometres.

Further Details:

The village has shops and small supermarkets to supply all your essentials. There are several banks with ATMs. The village has a siesta time when some shops close between 14.00 and 17.00.
