Spotless, truly amazing experience:)
We chosen this lodge for Christmas and we had the best Christmas ever:) Paul even put a Christmas tree for us! The lodge is extremely tidy and very well looked after. We really felt like at home. Spacious, cozy, modern. I can imagine how nice would be to stay during the summer, because it has such a lovely terrace.
We will definitely come back and recommend to everyone. 10/10!

It was fabulous
Came here for a few days and had the most amazing time, the cabin was lovely and clean, family orientated and has all the facilities. The marina was literally within walking distance and the views are amazing, will definitely be coming back.
Excellent accommodation we all loved it. Only downside were the site roads with vicious speed bumps even at walking pace and lots of them on this part of the park.

Nice cabin but don't expect wi fi.
The cabin is mainly very nice and we did mainly enjoy our stay. The location is surrounded by birds including a couple of Tawny Owls which we adored. Whilst it is a fairly short walk to the lake it was disappointing to discover it wasn't actually visible which was the impression I got from the literature. We stayed for a week and out of 5 devices we could possibly obtain wi fi on it was only possible for perhaps a total of four hours and even then not strong enough to do proper searches. In this age where we are so dependent on internet to plan our day trips the lack of information pages especially opening times was a real problem and twice we paid to park only to find the venue shut. We would have otherwise known this and made alternative plans. We made three visits to reception to try and remedy the wi fi and each time went away thinking it was fixed............! yes it did work in reception!
On a minor note the cabin has a wash basin without a swivel tap so you can't actually wash your face without spilling on the floor. There's also a loose floorboard that will make you slip in the kitchen. The deck is in need of a good sweep and a clean. Enough of the rant but these issues are important to me. If they wouldn't bother you the cabin will provide you with a great place to stay
Thank you for your comments. I have modified the literature saying, "the lodge site is on the shores of lake Windermere, as opposed to the lodge is on the shores of lake Windermere". I hope this helps. Although the photos do show the Lodge is not on the very edge of the lake.
The decking is swept after each clean of the lodge. But as there a number of large trees standing over the lodge, they drop leaves, bits of twigs, catkins etc on the decking on a daily basis and varies depending on the wind. Therefore a brush is left on the decking, should you wish to use it.
The loose floor board as described, was actually a piece of laminate flooring in the kitchen area. This has now been secured!
Swivel taps are normally a fitting found in the kitchen rather than a hand basin in a bathroom. Its unfortunate you found this to be a problem.
The WIFI is dependant on a signal from the site. I have never had a problem obtaining a signal myself. As a good signal was obtained at reception, perhaps you could have sat in the lounge/restaurant area next to reception, as signal on your devises was poor, to do any essential work/planning on your stay?
Great accommodation in a fabulous location
The cabin is well maintained with everything that’s needed for a great holiday. It is on a great site with plenty of things to do. It’s also within easy travelling distance to all of the local beauty spots. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends.
The nearest train station is in Windermere, a short drive away from White Cross Bay Holiday Park. Distances: Bowness on Windermere - 2 miles Ambleside - 2 miles Grasmere - 7 miles Keswick - 20 miles Distances are a rough estimate.
