This recently refurbished first floor flat in a 250 year-old house, is ideal for two people seeking a peaceful, cosy all-year round retreat in the heart of a lovely village.

There are many and varied activities close by, a wide variety of eating places, including the super, friendly ( people + dogs ! ) village pub and restaurant, a very short walk, minutes

away. Lots of lovely tea rooms.

The Wensleydale Railway and the Settle-Carlisle Railway are within easy reach, for trips in magnificent scenery, away from the car!

An abundance of walks to suit all tastes and fitness levels, including one less than a minute away. Plenty of advice offered.

Castles, ancient churches in abundance and several waterfalls very near. The famous Aysgarth Falls + National Park centre are 1 mile away.

The Wensleydale Cheese Centre, with its indoor museum, cheese shop and restaurants in Hawes. Also in Hawes, the delightful countryside museum.

The beauty and tranquillity of Semerwater,

the " Lakes " minus the traffic -jams!

Plenty to do, in all seasons.

Something for all tastes, a beautiful refuge from everyday stress.

Lovely location. Very Warm and welcome reception.

We had a lovely stay in Carperby.

We found the property easy to find. We were welcomed by Joan who was lovely and very accommodating. We brought our Labrador, who was also given a warm welcome! They loaned us a travel cot for our baby which was very kind of them, made things a lot easier and meant we had more room in the car for the dog! Thank you! The apartment is well equipped with everything you need and Joan and John are also willing to assist in many ways.

The area is just beautiful with fabulous walks from the doorstep. We walked to Aysgarth Falls which is a must.

We also had a walk to Redmire force which is beautiful and very quiet!

Ingleton waterfall Trail is also a must do in this area, although it's a 40 min drive from Carperby, the walk is certainly worth it. Put a full day aside! It's a 4.5 mile walk but has around 1000 steps to climb so it's very tiring but very worth it!

We love the Yorkshire dales and will always be back to explore further!

A lovely flat in a beautiful location.

The owners of this flat made us, including our dog, feel really welcome. The flat was spotlessly clean & had everything we needed for our stay. The owners really do appear to have thought of everything. Carperby is a quiet village surrounded by open fields with plenty of walks starting at the doorstep. The Wheatsheaf Inn is just a short walk from the flat. It's a great place to eat, drink & meet a mix of really friendly locals & visitors. It's dog friendly too.

we really enjoyed our stay , were greeted with scones, butter, jam and fresh milk on arrival

location of the apartment is ideal for hikers and nature lovers

we will definitely stay here again and strongly recommended to everyone

Cosy and comfortable stay

It was great to be met on arrival with warm scones. Joan was a most helpful host attending to every need providing advice on where to eat and what to see. The property listing provides a very accurate description. The property is conveniently located for a number of attractions on a relatively quiet country road with parking directly opposite. The property was meticulously clean, warm and just right for two people. The bed was extremely comfortable.

From centre of village of Carperby,

1 mile to Aysgarth and falls. Askrigg-3 miles, Castle Bolton 1.5 miles, Redmire 3 miles. Hawes- 9 miles, with Wensleydale Creamery and Countryside Museum.

Delightful walks all around.

Middleham "Richard 3rd Castle and numerous race horse trainers' stables.

Further Details:

Leyburn --7 miles, has variety of shops, banks and restaurants. Brochures of local tourist places supplied at property.
