My wife, Sara and I have lived in Devon for over 13 years and this is most definitely home. We came back to the West Country having worked all over the UK but as they say life is a journey homeward bound.

We bought this property because we love Topsham. The architecture, the range of fine eating houses ,its position on the River Exe all give it a unique vibe that draws you back time after time. Given that Exeter Airport is only 6 miles away and Exeter, the Regional capital is right on the doorstep it makes for a great holiday location.
What makes this Apartment unique
The property is a lovely Grade 2 listed building set right in the heart of the historic port of Exeter .With a situation over looking St Margaret's church and minutes from the historic quay and waterfront it provides the perfect base for exploring Devon and Cornwall. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with a really comfortable stay in a spacious and well appointed apartment. Topsham has a unique blend of fine restaurant's and boutique style shops with a great range of sports activities on the door step.

Fabulous apartment, well-situated and cosy
The instructions before we arrived and during our stay were clear and easy to follow. The apartment was amazing. The owners left a welcome basket for us which was extremely appreciated.
The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The comfort and location of the apartment were great and added to making it a very positive and wonderful first visit to Topsham. Thank you very much

Beautifully kept apartment in a lovely town
We have often stayed in this flat and always thoroughly enjoyed it. It is immaculately presented with everything you could possibly need with some lovely homely touches. It is conveniently situated, close to everything that Topsham has to offer and parking is only a short walk away.
Lovely apartment in the centre of town.
Very well equipped and comfortable apartment. Very spacious with all the home comforts. Heating was good and the apartment was warm and cozy despite its single glazed sash windows.
It is on the high street so traffic and passers by can be heard.
Very convenient for walking, local pubs and restaurants, the railway station and bus stops. We went into Exeter by train and this was inexpensive and easy.
We parked on Holman Way car park. About a five minute walk away. If you use the parking web site on the Exeter Council page you can pay for however long you need so don’t have to worry about buying and replacing tickets. We did manage to park briefly outside the apartment to unload and to reload the car.
Topsham is very convenient for exploring the surrounding area.
I would recommend Church View as long as you do not have walking difficulties or very young children as the staircase is winding and a little tricky.
All in all a very nice place.

We enjoyed our stay very much..The location very quaint. The apartment lovely with everything we required during that time catered for. Someone has put a lot of thought into what people may require during their stay. Many thanks.
Interesting views from both back and front windows,also the bird and squirrel visits outside the kitchen window. Very comfortable,however would be a bit concerned re the stairs near the kitchen if children were staying.
This property was very central and transport was easy even without a car.

Visiting old haunts
Nice apartment with everything we needed, but to be hyper critical, it is not suitable for the aged and infirm as the stairs are dangerous. It is a listed property and the owner, apparently, isn’t allowed to change them for more user friendly treads.
Also, grab handles would help the elderly manoeuvre in and out of the difficult to access bath/shower.
Ideal position in town although parking is a nightmare and even the car parks tend to be full to overflowing.
The river is easily accessed through the Churchyard and is a highlight.
clean, convenient spacious apartment
Had a great time with the kids out and about and in the flat all you could want from a holiday rental. Only downs, parking but managed, drying wet clothes and traffic noise in the mornings none of these the kids noticed and nowhere near enough to change a great experience. Good
facilities provided. We would highly recommend.

Coast/Beach: 8 miles to Exmouth a traditional seaside resort with great sandy beaches. 15 miles to Dartmoor National Park, the largest open space in Southern England and famous for spectacular scenery and walks. 5 miles to the Cathedral City of Exeter the regional capital of Devon Travel: Exeter Airport is 10 miles from Topsham. Topsham train station is 5 minutes from apartment on the Exeter to Exmouth line. Buses run regularly to Exeter, Exmouth and beyond. The port of Plymouth is 45 miles by car. Car is recommended if you want to explore the south west region in full. Distances: Exeter 5 miles Plymouth 45 miles Torbay - the English Riviera 27 miles Dartmoor 15 miles Further Details: Topsham is nestled on the East side of the River Exe and is the former port of Exeter. The town has a long and ancient history dating back to the Roman period. Formerly a major seaport trading in cotton, the town is now of interest for its architecture with many of the houses being built using Dutch bricks which were brought over in exchange for wool and cotton. Topsham has great proximity to nature reserves for wading and migrating birds with RSPB Bowling Green Marsh located on the Exe estuary, the whole of which is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It also boasts its own museum which is located in a 17th century building overlooking the Exe Estuary and displays the local history of the town and memorabilia of Vivien Leigh, the film star. Topsham has unique character supported by many local independent shops and restaurants as well as some great sporting facilities with the heated outdoor swimming pool and local tennis courts nearby.
