Overview

About the property

Cottage in Rowen, Conwy, Wales - Peaceful Location, 5 Minutes Walk To The Pub. No pets.

Pen-y-Bont is a tastefully restored, central heated, c16 Welsh cottage set in the picturesque village of Rowen at the heart of the Conwy Valley, in the Snowdonia National Park. Situated in a secluded location but also within a 5-minute walk of a lively, traditional pub, featuring Welsh singing every Friday night, great food and serving the best pint of Guinness outside of Dublin (probably)...not to be missed!

There are a wealth of activities within close proximity, including Conwy Castle, the World's longest zip-wire (www.zipworld.co.uk), surfing in Dolgarrog (https://surfsnowdonia.com) or for those rainy days there's Go Below (www.go-below.co.uk). For great views you can cable car up the Great Orme, visit the Welsh Mountain Zoo or get the Snowdon Mountain Railway.

If you're feeling energetic the area is a walker's paradise with all the majestic peaks of North Wales within close proximity & ancient Roman paths and the multi-award winning Bodnant Garden (Owned by the National Trust and one of the most spectacular and admired botanical gardens in Europe) right on your doorstep.

This is a tiny snapshot of the many things that you can do - or you could just relax and read a book, play a board game or watch one of our many great DVD titles. The choice is yours :)

Little piece of paradise.

  • 5 of 5

I had read wonderful reviews about the cottage and was not left disappointed. Stunning, more spacious than i thought. Extremely comfortable bed so much so we meant to check the make of the mattress before we left but unfortunately forgot! Good powerful shower and fantastic kitchen and most importantly to ourselves it was so peaceful. Fantastic friendly pub across the road, what more can you ask for. A great place to recharge your batteries. Can't wait to return.

Excellent Accomodation

  • 5 of 5

Feels miles away from civilisation when in the cottage but is only 75 yards to a good pub / restaurant serving excellent food.

Conwy is defiantly worth a visit as is Llandudno, if you go to the top of Snowdon on the train take a pillow for your back, those seats are hard!

This cottage will defiantly be our first choice when we return to north Wales

Thank you

A great place!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is a fantastic place to stay, well equipped, in a pretty little village, ideally placed for beautiful walks.

There are loads of places of interest just a short drive away and the cottage is the ideal place to relax if that's all you want to do.

I can't recommend this little gem highly enough!

Absolutely loved this cottage. Feel like we found a real gem. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful cottage, fixtures and fittings, they have thought of everything. The village was so pretty, everyone we spoke to was friendly and the pub was a real heart of the village local. We were made to feel vey welcome. Can honestly say i didnt want to leave.

Great little cottage in a quiet location.

  • 4 of 5

Great cottage and well situated next to a river with a nice local pub across the the foot bridge. There is no allocated parking for the property, this was only an issue on arrival having to park next to the pub and having to walk a few trips to unload. Inside the cottage is spacious and very comfortable, the decor is of a high standard with all the mod cons you need. Yes the pub across the bridge does serve a great pint of Guiness as mentioned by previous guests. There are lots of great places to visit and plenty of great walks on the doorstep. Lots of info on days out and walks within the cottage. Also there is a red phone box next to the pub which has more touristy stuff in......
