Barn in Hadzor, Nr. Droitwich, Worcestershire, England - Very Peaceful Medieval Village Close To The Cotswolds
About Lynn Thornes
My wife and I have lived in the medieval village of Hadzor for 20 years. We have three grown up boys who are all at various late stages of their School/University education. I have just retired from being Professor at the University of Birmingham and my wife has also just retired from lecturing in a local college. We love living in the Worcestershire countryside.
Lynn Thornes purchased this Barn in 2013
Why Lynn Thornes chose Droitwich
Our house - Three Wells - is in the middle of the Worcestershire countryside with nearly three green acres of land and is grade 2 listed. We have only just completed the building of our new 'Three Wells Barn' with the beautiful living accommodation on the first floor. It is a short walk away from the house. We are within a short drive of the Cotswolds and there are lots of National Trust properties nearby. Hanbury Hall is within walking distance. The fine city of Worcester is just a 15 minute drive or 8 minute journey on the train from Droitwich station. Droitwich is an old Spa town about 5 minutes by car or a 25 minute walk. There is the Gaudet Luce golf course in Hadzor just a 3 minute walk away - with bar and restaurant.
What makes this Barn unique
Three Wells Barn is fully equipped for your stay with a beautiful open plan design as you can see from the photos. It is approached by a drive off the road with plenty of parking available. We are easy to find in the middle of our tiny village opposite the red letter box. It is likely that you will be woken in the morning by the sheep in the next field!

Wonderful, peacefull, rural, restfull
Lovely place to stay, friendly but totally unobtrusive owners, lovely dog. We had a wonderfull stay, there is so much to do and see around Droitwich Spa, and then back to the peace of our room, watching the ducks and ponies and wildlife, with a very comfortable bed. We can recommend watching vintage hill climb if you get the chance, Chateau Impney is just round the corner.
Lovely friendly people :) peaceful location. Lovely room. Very clean. Will be returning.
Such a lovely well equipped little barn in beautiful surroundings
Me and my partner had a wonderful 3 night stay here whilst we visited Crufts and the west midlands safari park. It had everything we needed, very clean and comfortable . Lovely, very helpful hosts. And the added bonus of a very gorgeous and friendly little pup, blue. Lovely to wake up in the morning in such gorgeous surroundings and seeing the 2 pretty little ponies. We will definitely be returning if we plan to visit this area again. Thank you John and Lynn :)
Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Helped with any inquiries. An idyllic, quiet beautiful area. The property was very well set out with everything you could need.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay for New Year. You were perfect guests and we’d love to have you back anytime. Happy New Year to the three of you,
Best Wishes, Lynn and John
Great quiet stay
A couple of quiet days in a comfortable and warm studio barn. Peaceful surrounding, inobstructive hosts yet Available if needed. Easy access to town and surrounding area. Would hope to stay again when needing to be in the area.
A peaceful Hideaway
The barn is in a lovely lane, it seems to be away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet is close to all the amenities that you need. Lynn and John are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and they are only to glad to help with their knowledge. Having the animals around, the ponies Teddy and Sparkles, who are so loving, more akin to faithful dogs they love the attention as does Blue the Dog really does make a difference for animal lovers as does seeing the ducks waddling around!
The Barn itself has everything you need, even spare phone chargers. Its clean, warm and homely. The pictures don't do it justice.
A well needed break away from the stresses of every day life was what was needed...and was exactly what we got, so thank you Lynn and John we look forward to seeing you all again.
You were wonderful guests Amanda. We’re so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. You are welcome back anytime you need a break and as you know, repeat customers get special rates😊.....Sparkle, Teddy and Blue all look forward to seeing you again too. Very Best Wishes from us all at Three Wells, including the waddling ducks xxxx
