Le Petit Trianon is a classic colonial style family house built in the late sixties. It was originally built as two apartments which we joined together to create a large L shaped villa surrounding a 10 metre heated swimming pool with spacious surrounding sandstone terraces and gardens. We are in a quiet residential area, five minutes walk from Hossegor town with its covered market, designer shops, restaurants and bars and five minutes walk to Hossegor Lac which is a unique tidal lake suitable for swimming and water sports and home to Lac oysters and beautiful scenic restaurants and oyster bars. We are five minutes drive from the world famous surfing beaches at Hossegor and Seignosse which offer unspoilt sand dunes and low key restaurants and bars. The property has a heat pump system that heats the pool in summer (pool opens in May) and provides central heating in winter (pool closes October) and constant hot water all year round. There is an open wood fire in the sitting room for out of season use.

About Simon & Patricia Hill
We have been married for 27 years and have two grown up children. We have lived and worked in London nearly all our adult lives but both adore the coast. When time came to buy a property in France we were advised to think of the coast as teenagers prefer a little more life in their holiday destinations than most rural locations offer. As teenagers we both fell in love with the Atlantic surfing coast and Trish worked in Anglet, so whilst holidaying in the area, Trish said "lets try Hossegor, I loved it when I was here before" and as soon as we walked up the drive we squeezed each other's hand as we knew we'd found our dream house. Since then we've poured love and (a lot of cash!) into making Petit Trianon a real family home and hope you love it too.
Simon & Patricia Hill purchased this Villa in 2000
Why Simon & Patricia Hill chose Hossegor
The villa is perfect for large family groups. You can walk into town where the bars, restaurants and shops provide hours of entertainment and still get to the beaches, lake and larger shops and supermarkets by car without having to queue in town centre peak season traffic. The villa is in a quiet residential neighbourhood with lots and lots of outside space at the front, rear and sides so you can always find space alone as well as to get together for long family dinners and lazy lunches on the terraces.
What makes this Villa unique
You get the sun all day long from the main pool terracing but can find shade under the awnings and in the marble tiled lounge and dining areas which open out on to the terraces so its easy to move in and out as the mood takes you.

We spent a wonderful week in this well equipped holiday home and felt immediately relaxed and comfortable. The garden is a delight and the pool area a suntrap which was enjoyed by Grandparents, parents and children alike. We spent most evening sitting and eating outside at the enormous table. The park, lake and town centre are all within easy walking distance. Altogether a great place to spend a holiday,we would love to go back one day.
Excellent Holiday Home
We were a party of 11 including Grandparents (80+), Parents and Grandchildren (14 to 20yrs of age). Le Petit Trianon was a great choice for our needs and is clearly a much loved family holiday home. The house is in a quiet residential area but within a short walk of the thriving centre of Hossegor with the boutiques, restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours etc. The covered outside dining table was used for all but one meal during our two week stay and the house was provided with more than enough amenities for 11 people. The pool was a very good size and kept at a perfect temperature. The lake, several beaches and proximity to Bayonne and Biarritz provide a good choice of activities to cater for all tastes. One of our best family holidays
Perfect Beach House
We had a fab week in Hossegor in June when a group of us stayed at Le Petite Trianon for the first time. It's equipped with everything you could ever need, it's comfortable and decorated in a lovely homely style. The layout is perfect for a cosy feel yet you have loads of space to spread out in. The weather wasn't great during our stay but the surf was good and the town was just a short stroll away to take advantage of the beaches, cafes, bars and restaurants. We had a 2 year old with us who loved the pleasant swimming pool and was fascinated by the cleaning robot who somehow got nick named 'Lee'! There is loads of parking and the neighbours are laid back and lovely. The owners did a great job of letting us know all the details about the place and preparing the rooms ready for our visit. We were really impressed, we have some wonderful memories and we will definitely be going back!
We are five minutes drive from the world famous surfing beaches at Hossegor and Seignosse. There is multiple access to the beach at various points along the coast road and there is the adjacent port of Capbreton which is the other side of the estuary to Hossegor and has hundreds of boats, yachts and a small fishing fleet within its confines. The beach is well maintained with lifeguards and has more isolated spots including a nudist beach. There are many surf schools in the area.
A car is recommended so you can easily get to the beach and supermarkets but not essential as there is a bus from the airport into town 5 minutes away and you could just use local shops/the market.
We are 25 minutes from Biarritz Airport, 2 hours from Bordeaux and 1 hour from Pau. From the channel tunnel it takes us 9 hours on the road via Rouen/Le Mans. From St Malo its about 7 hours on the road. Tolls are about 75 Euro each way.
The Spanish border is 45 minutes away and the lovely port of San Sebastian is well worth a visit as is Biarritz with its turn of the century charm and Bayonne with its choclatiers and port side old town. The Pyrenees are an hour and a half's drive away, offering spectacular views, walking and excellent skiing from its numerous ski-resorts.
The supermarkets at Soorts, Hossegor and Capbreton are five minutes drive. There is more general shopping in each location including Hossegor town five minutes walk away with banks, chemists, doctors-the lot.
