Spacious studios, en-suite bathrooms, gorgeous views of the Aegean Sea & Poros
We have carefully and individually designed each and every one of our studios to complement the stunning, unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea and Poros Island. 50 square meters of modern space, with floor to ceiling windows and the Live-Bio touch.
The studio has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a huge bed and a wide built-in sofa, a large working desk, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom.
The kitchen has a stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, glasses, crockery, cutlery and everything else you may need.
The large bathroom offers a modern shower, and two wash basins for comfort.
We own a private olive grove, occupying ~16 hectares (~4 acres) of land, stretching almost all the way to the sea. In addition, we encourage our guests to take advantage of the open paths going up the mountain and the olive and lemon groves in the area.
Live-Bio is a lot more than a business to us. It is a lifestyle and a way to meet people! Interacting with our guests is a core element of our offering. We organise a number of activities in the local area (wine tasting, sailing, hiking etc) and we throw a dinner for our guests every now and then, just to meet each other better!
The property is on the mainland (Peloponnese), 1.5 kilometers outside the town of Galatas, offering gorgeous views to the island of Poros and the Aegean Sea. Highly recommended for connoisseurs of relaxation and romance.
We are located on the hillside and your private balcony is THE place to relax and enjoy the view. We are not in the hustle and bustle of things, which means no traffic (except the traffic from the boats!) and no noise from bars or restaurants. Our neighbourhood offers an unparalleled place for relaxation, while still close enough to the town of Galatas and the Island of Poros. A 5 minute walk from the property you find yourself on the Plaka beach and 15min further on Aliki beach, the nicest one in the area. You will find all amenities you require in the region, including grocery stores, local produce markets, a spa and several beaches.
Live-Bio is also an expression of our lifestyle, which combines nature, healthy eating and various activities. If you are interested in sailing, swimming, hiking, cycling, yoga, excursions to the nearby islands or ancient sites, cooking classes, discovery of the local culture and getting to know the local community, this is your perfect place! We offer a number of activities in the area, as well as memorable sailing trips in the region.
Our region is a great place for visiting nearby beaches, historical sites (including two UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Sanctuary of Asclepius with the gorgeous Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and the Palace of Mycenae in Tiryns), the stunning volcanic peninsula of Methana, the wine making region of Nemea and the famous Lemon Tree forest which is only 500 meters away. Poros Island is 2 minutes away on a taxi boat (costs 1 euro) from the town of Galatas.
Come and enjoy the gorgeous views and the silence, whilst being a stone's throw away from the vibe.
We are 1.5 kilometers out of the town of Galatas on the Peloponnese, a 20 minute walk including a steep 200 meters uphill (hey, you cannot have gorgeous views and be at sea level! – we are located about 40 meters above sea level, the 200 meters is the walking distance, but still pretty steep!)
Being on the mainland, our property can be accessed by car and by ferry.
The drive from the Athens International Airport is 2.5 hours on a well sign posted route, also serviced by a regular bus connection. Alternatively, guests can pick up the catamaran from the Port of Piraeus and be at Poros in 1 hour. We will pick you up right there and take you to our property with our comfy, leather seat car. If you wish, we can also organise a door to door pick-up from the airport, bringing you straight to your room with no hassle!
If you would rather rent a car from Athens, we would highly recommend that, as it will give you flexibility to pop to Galatas town any time and visit the nearby sights on the Peloponnese. Whilst definitely not essential, a car is highly encouraged!

About Periklis Thivaios
We are a couple from Poland and Greece who met in South Africa, flirted in Colombia and got engaged in Mexico. Periklis studied in London, worked in New York City, Toronto and Johannesburg, and is currently a doctoral student in Spain; and Magdalena comes from the gorgeous city of Gdansk and lived in Mexico before she moved to Cape Town and subsequently Johannesburg. We were successful in our professional lives but we needed something more. We believe that life is about being creative, about interacting with people, and about living closer to nature and its produce. We felt that we spent too much time 'buying' money while the only thing that money cannot buy is time. We agreed that failing is preferable to not trying, that risk is better than placidity, and that mental and emotional balance is the greatest form of wealth. So we did it! We settled in the sun-kissed coast of Argolida on the North-East of the Peloponnese, only a couple of hours away from Athens and started an eco-friendly business with a focus on hospitality, local produce and travel-based experiences. If you would like to experience the same, come and join us!
Periklis Thivaios purchased this Bungalow in 2015
Why Periklis Thivaios chose Trizina
Periklis’ father bought the olive grove in the 1990s and he subsequently developed, often with personal labour, the buildings that occupy it. The furniture in all the rooms is hand made and the surrounding area has the signs of the struggle between many years of personal labour and the desires of nature. For us, this property was the most natural place to start a business focusing on nature, local food and the majestic blue of the Aegean Sea.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Poros is the closest one can get to a traditional Greek island setting from the convenience and connectivity of Athens' International Airport. White washed houses, traditional tavernas and relaxed walks, only 2 minutes away by taxi boat from Galatas. The property is on the mainland (just outside the town of Galatas), offering easy access and gorgeous views to the island of Poros, away from the noise and the busy streets. Our 4 acre hill stretches almost all the way to the sea, allowing easy access to the local beaches on the mainland and the island. Come and enjoy the silence, whilst being a stone's throw away from the vibe. Experience a tranquil environment where the only traffic you can hear is from the ferries entering the port! Share an interest in history?: The property is located in front of the small island where Theseus was born. The entire area of Argolida is awash with historic sites. For the history inclined, the following destinations are within a day's reach: * The UNESCO World Heritage Site Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus: the masterpiece of ancient theatre architecture * The UNESCO World Heritage Site Palace of Mycynae: The home of the king who led Greece during the war of Troy *Nafplio: The capital of Greece before Athens, with its picturesque streets and the castles of Mpourtzi and Palamidi *Nemea: one of the oldest wine making areas in the world, with 3,500 years of tradition and several modern wineries for a tasting or two Other nearby locations that we love: *Methana with its thermal baths and picturesque fishing villages *Lemonodasos: a forest full of lemon trees *Devil Bridge: a bridge in Troizina above flowing waters, suitable for trekking

Room with a view
Great place. The studio was roomy with everything we needed, our hosts couldn't be nicer nor more accommodating, and the view is every bit as it seems in the picture (which is to say, fantastic). If your going to visit Poros, also recommended, give Live-Bio a try. You won't be disappointed.
Live-Bio Is All They Claim And More!
My husband and I spent a wonderful week at Live-Bio June 28 – July 5, 2017. The studio was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. There is plenty of space to fully unpack and make yourself at home. When temps were quite hot, the A/C cooled the space quickly when we returned each day. We found everything we needed grocery wise at the local markets. Magdalena and Periklis are incredible hosts. They have a wealth of knowledge and suggestions for whatever interests you. While we were there, they hosted two evenings with some of the other guests. We thoroughly enjoyed their warm hospitality, delicious local, Greek cuisine and the lively conversation with people who have lived and worked all over the world. If you are in need of alone time and prefer to keep to yourselves, they would respect that, too. If you’re at all interested in Greek cooking, we highly recommend signing up for the cooking class at Odyssey – it was a definite highlight of our Greek adventure. And regardless of what else you plan to do while there, make sure you reserve enough time to just sit and enjoy the incredible view from your balcony at every time of day and night. “Come as a stranger, leave as a friend” is not just words Magdalena and Periklis put on their property description; if you are open, it will be true for you as it was for us.
There are way too many great things to say about Live Bio to squeeze into this small review space, but I will try. Firstly the generous hospitality that Periklis and Magdalena offer is extraordinary! They are such kind and welcoming hosts - and super fun as well! We will be life-long friends I am sure. Their knowledge of the area and surrounding islands was so helpful and made the trip very special. Each restaurant experience better than the next - but the sailing trips! WOW! incredible. Fun, fun, fun and the coves that we went to only accessible by boat, offered clear crystalline swimming waters the likes you rarely see. The views from the studio spectacular, the rooms spacious and comfortable and local restaurants and residents, welcoming and friendly. Don't forget to taste their exquisite hand made Olive Oil. Delicious! Looking forward to returning next summer!
thanks a lot for your kind words and for taking the time to write a review for us. We also really enjoyed meeting you, spending time chatting and exchanging ideas, as well as sailing from cove to party to cove :) We will be in touch!
BEST part of my European tour
My stay at this beautiful, spacious studio was the best part of my European tour! From the very beginning when I first contacted the owners, I was sold! Amazing customer service from day one and continued till they waved goodbye as I boarded the ferry back to Athens. I could not have imagined a better way to have spent my time in Greece. Minutes from multiple beaches, a short walk into town and a boat ride away to Poros Island. The studio was spacious and was equipped with everything that you would ever need. The view is unbelievable!!! Daily you are guaranteed a beautiful sunrise or sunset and bright blue skies. The balcony was perfect to have coffee, lunch or just read and admire the views. Michalis and his family were so amazing, I felt like family when I left! Thank you so much for such a fabulous time, and I CAN NOT WAIT to come back to this little slice of heaven:)
thank you so much for your ind words. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Excellent choice long term or short term
We took a leap of faith...having searched the web for nearly a year we settled for a long term agreement with the Michalis and his daughter, who was my main contact prior to arrival...Thank you Ergina... We have been in our apartment for 10 working on 11 weeks now and are very happy... We wake every morning to the rising sun, we swim in the sea just below the studios at our own private Plaka... The apartment is large and well equipped, and the owner as generous as the day is long, All of our needs have been meet... We can be in the center of Galatas, for shopping, in 15 minutes walking or call a cab and do it in 5... We have the best view of the famed and far more costly Poros, and we are not surrounded by the throngs of tourist that parade in Poros, but we can play that game any time we want... What we wanted was a place to live for a year, a place where we could become part of the local community...as to this we still have a ways to go, but we are meeting people daily becoming more comfortable in our surroundings, and I can say thanks in large part to the wonderful family that has helped to make this happen, Thank you, Michalis
This property has an astonishing seaview, the landlord was very kind and very helpful. You find many things you need quite near in the small town of Galatas. It is woth going to this property and we already decided to come back. The property is really big, so you have enough space even to stay indoors. Next to the property there is the small island of Poros, which you see from the large balcony. There you can reach several beautiful beaches within few minutes.
Thanks a lot, it was really beautiful.
