Victorian house, central St Ives, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location Yet 2 Minutes Walk To Town Centre And Harbour, Porthminster Beach Is Very Close

This is a gorgeous and elegant Victorian house spread over three floors. It has recently been redecorated to a high standard and is bright, airy and luxurious. The views from all the front rooms are some of the best in St Ives, taking in the far reaching coastlines, harbour and nearby boats bobbing on the twinkling sea! Set in a slightly elevated position this is essentially a town house, yet set slightly away from the hub bub in a peaceful location. The restaurants, bars and beaches are only minutes away and the beautiful Porthminster beach is closely situated from the front of the house. The five bedrooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, only one being slightly smaller. There is a fantastic open living area with amazing views. and a huge kitchen on the ground floor perfect for family get together and banquets! The patio to the front is great for al fresco dining, and there is now the added benefit of a fully enclosed pretty rear back patio with bench and bistro table, leading out from the kitchen.

Why Sarah barber chose St Ives area

I love this area because it is central to the town and beaches, yet it is a fairly peaceful location slightly away from the hustle bustle and commotion of the town centre.

There is no need to drive through the busy town centre also, which is a huge advantage!

The views from the property are really fantastic, taking in the harbour, beaches, lighthouse and far-reaching coastline.

What makes this house unique

Parking at the property for 2 cars is a huge bonus in St Ives, and the outdoor patio is great for breakfasts and lunches!! We also have an enclosed rear patio, safe for toddlers.

Seaside family holidays as they should be.

A lovely bright seaside family home.Excellent choice for family and friends 3 minutes walk downhill to the town and beaches.St Ives is a lovely vibrant colourful English resort and this is reflected in this lovely quirky property.Good car access for 2 cars and a car park 5 mins away.Excellent support from the owner Sarah who made the overall booking process enjoyable and no hassle.You definately come back from this holiday with a happy family..we had a 10 week old grandson and a 91 year old grandmother ..a lovely holiday for all.

Wonderful house, fantastic stay

We stayed at this wonderful house over the New Year period and loved it from the moment we arrived. Sarah had been so accommodating and helpful from our initial enquiry and had even left us a fabulous welcoming hamper.

The house was very clean and spacious but felt cosy and warm. It's lounge was large and colourful with plenty of comfortable sofas and a huge dining table and chairs. The kitchen had large oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, plenty of storage and every utensil you would need.

The bedrooms were light and airy with individual themes, comfy beds and lovely bed linen. Bathrooms were clean, had great powerful showers with enough hot water to allow 12 of us to get ready. There were lots of lovely touches throughout the house, including games and throws and loads of storage.

In a brilliant position with short walk to town and harbour and fantastic views

I would definitely recommend this house and will hopefully stay again ourselves in the future..thank you Sarah and team.

Could not recommend it more

We have stayed in lots of houses over the years in St Ives but this has to be the best. From my initial enquiry to the day we left Sarah the owner could have not been accommodating, friendly and helpful. The house is amazingly spacious and could not have been lovelier for 3 generations of our family to spend a weeks holiday together. The house is beautifully decorated,kitchen is amazingly equipped, bedrooms spacious,beds comfy, location for St Ives and beaches perfect and views to die for. We are just so grateful ( and a bit jealous!) that Sarah allowed us to share it. We will be back-thank you for a wonderful time😀

Wonderful house, fab week there!

We stayed at this house in June and as soon as we walked through the door we fell in love with the house, and St Ives!! We spent a wonderful sunny week here , 10 adults, and had an amazing time. Sarah, the owner, couldn't do enough to help us before, and during, our stay. We were greeted by a fab hamper of goodies which made it even more enjoyable!

The house is huge, light and airy, and extremely colourful! Also wonderfully equipped. The views are really something else, and a fab location too. We'll be back!!

amazing house, extremely helpul owners!!

We stayed in this marvellous house for a week in the summer. It was an absolutely gorgeous property, a cut above any property that we've stayed in previously in this area. It was beautifully decorated, light, airy and very spacious and immaculate. We were greeted with a fantastic hamper full of wine and goodies, and all the essentials were in place so no need to buy trivial things such as bin liners, cleaning products, salt and pepper, milk, tea bags (and wine!!) etc etc.

The views from the front of the house are to die for!

The owner, Sarah was incredibly accommodating, efficient and helpful in every aspect...we will be back for sure!!

Beautiful house..Perfect location

We were three families with toddlers and teenagers and stayed at the end of October, the house was just perfect really stunning decor very well equipped perfect location within walking distance to the town and all the beaches, we had wonderful stay and the owners were exceptionally helpful. We can't wait to go back next year!

Newquay Airport 50 minutes drive.

Exeter Airport 1.5 hours drive.

Bristol Airport 3 hours drive.

Car not necessary as all amenities are within walking distance.

Train station connecting to London 5 minutes walk.


The city of Truro is 18 miles away.

St Ives is renowned for its beautiful beaches, and there are plenty of them, all within walking distance. There are endless fantastic restaurants and bars, all close.

Banks, food stores, delis, take aways, doctors, dentist and leisure centre all within walking distance. Less than 1 mile to supermarket.

The nearby city of Truro is approx 18 miles from St Ives.

Weekends 60% of full price, 4 nights 70%.

Changeover day is Friday but can be flexible outside of the peak times.
