Chateau Buisson is in a rural setting amongst vineyards and near to a forest. Easy access you'll find us midway between Bordeaux and Bergerac, 2/3kms from the River Dordogne. Luxurious B&B rooms in the chateau itself plus a beautiful self catering Le Pigeonnier in the chateau grounds, with 3 double en suite bedrooms and a private swimming pool. Well known for our cuisine with local lamb a speciality and organic wines from our sister chateau. Nearby the famous market town of St Foy le Grande, golf at Chateau Vigiers, swimming at Lac de Gurcon and a visit to St. Emilion famous for its wine.
Two spacious en suite bedrooms in Chateau Buisson a 17th century historic chateau in the Dordogne. King size and super king size comfortable beds on polished wooden floors and large windows. Large Bathrooms with 2 sinks and large shower plus WC. Possibility of a third large bedroom with king size bed and separate bathroom down a few stairs with shower, wc and sink. Tea making facilities if required. Breakfast outside or in the grand salon. In addition dinners on request using local seasonal products and the speciality is local lamb, plus organic wine from our sister chateau.

The lovely coastal town of Arcachon is a 1-1.5 hour drive away with one of the biggest sand dunes in Europe. Great family day out, sea is gorgeous and lots of activities. Famous for its oysters.
Bergerac airport is a 30 minute drive and Bordeaux is a 50 minute drive both have car hire facilities which are essential. From ferry ports an easy 6 hour drive. A car is essential to get around.
The market town of St. Foy le Grande is a 15 minute drive, market day is Saturday it also has large supermarkets. The pretty town of St. Emilion famous for its wine, is a 40 minute drive. Lac du Gurson where there is swimming and activities is 20 mins away. Major towns of Bergerac and Bordeaux are 30 mins and 50 mins away, respectively. Also possible to use trains from St Foy to Sarlat and major towns.
The village of St. Meard du Gurson is 2 minutes away by car. There is a good bakery and a small grocers for essentials. Bread can be delivered by arrangement by guests in Le Pigeonnier. Canoeing on the River Dordogne which is a 5 minute drive down the hill is a must! Lovely walks around us with many well trodden tracks. We have donkeys and horses at the Chateau all of them love stale bread!!!
Plus Milly the dog who is very gentle and loving with children. The forest is next door and families of wiild boar can often be seen trotting across the fields as you sit on the terrace sipping sundowners!
