Marion and I spent 4 weeks touring Portugal and when we got to Lagos we just couldn't leave. The Backpackers Guide had warned us about this - it described Lagos as a 'black hole' - once you're in there's no leaving! The property is well-located being on the fringes of the old town and having local amenities (shops, restaurants, bars etc) close by.
What makes this Apartment unique
Great venue for relaxing or getting out and about exploring the neighboring sights and attractions. Fabulous restaurants and night life for the more mature, discerning clientele. Lots of sporting activities; particularly noted for golf and surfing. There's also the opportunity to go Dolphin Watching, charter a yacht, sea kayaking or exploring the dramatic coastline weaving your way through grottoes, caverns and sea stacks.

Place was lovely and comfortable. Enough place for our family of 5, but will sleep 6 comfortably. Fantastic restaurant Onde Norte right next to the premises. One of the best places I stayed and will love to stay again.. Host responded immediately to any request. One of the best beaches Dona Ana is literally 5 mins away and the historical lively town center also 10 mins away. Can’t wait to go back.

My husband and our two daughters (14 & 12) just got back from a fantastic week in Lagos. We stayed at Guy's amazing apartment and everything was perfect. The location is excellent; it's a five minute walk to the best beach in Lagos, and a ten minute walk to the centre of Lagos which has fantastic restaurants and a great vibe. We ate at a different restaurant every night, and every meal was amazing. We then strolled along the streets while enjoying our nightly scoop of gelato. It was heaven. Guy's aparment is huge, clean, safe, and has everything you could want. There is even a binder in the aparment with helpful information. Guy is lovely to deal with, and always replied quickly to my emails. We have several friends who are interested in exploring Portugal, and I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend this apartment. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

This is my second year in a row staying here. Again met all of our needs and expectations. Very spacious and well finished, perfect for our family of 5! So convenient to beach, shops and town. Stayed 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute!! Just get it booked!!

This apartment is great , it’s modern , spacious , very well equipped and spotlessly clean . It is in a very central location for all there is to do and see in Lagos surrounded by restaurants and shops then just a stones throw from the beautiful Dona Ana beach and a short walk to the old town , pool is great too . I would recommend this apartment to anyone , totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again . The owner , Guy Davies was very easy to deal with and made the booking process effortless. Just 5 minutes walk to the fabulous Praia Dona Ana, one of Portugal's favourite beaches, with towering cliffs and golden sand. Plenty of other beaches to choose from including Praia Do Mos with 2 quality restaurants. Wonderful cliff top walks around the peninsular.
Travel:
Faro airport just 50 mins drive. Easy access along the new motorway. Hire cars readily available from usual vendors at airport. Taxi service and private hire plentiful. Trains available at Lagos and Faro too. Shops, restaurants, beaches all close to hand to Apartmento Mar so car not essential. Local bus service visits most local beaches too.
Distances:
Lagos 5 minute walk. Praia da Luz 20 minute drive, Portimao and Sagres 30 minute drive, Faro 50 minute drive.

Lots of activities, fun and adventurous for families and adrenalin junkies. South and west coast renowned for world class surfing. Sub aqua, explore the fantastic coastline on boat tour, dolphin tours, yachts for available for charter. A deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking, non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 60 days of arrival. The balance payable 60 days before arrival. In addition, a £100 deposit is requested to cover any breakages; this will be returned to guests within 2 weeks of departure if no breakages occur. All prices include pre-arrival clean and departure clean / laundry. Changeover Day: Changeover day is flexible but other bookings will dictate this.
