A beautiful two-bedroomed, ground floor Victorian apartment in a Grade II listed building. Romantic and family-friendly. Elegantly decorated and comfortably furnished in vintage style. There are stunning sea views as we are just a stone's throw from a Blue Flag beach as well as direct access to miles of flat coastal promenades and paths. Ideal for walkers, cyclists, those with buggies and beach-lovers. There are plenty of local shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and a few minutes' walk takes you to the fabulous Margate old town, Dreamland and the new Turner Gallery!!!!
Hi, I'm an archaeologist and TV presenter and live in London with my daughter.
Margate has undergone major regeneration in the last two years and was recently listed in the Guardian as the holiday destination for 2013. It's perfect for holidays or weekends away and boasts one of the most beautiful sandy bays in Kent with plenty of activities for all ages including fun beach activities, jet-skiing and windsurfing. The newly commissioned Turner Gallery with views across the bay is situated in the very location from where Turner painted his sunsets and is a must-see.
Mandy Weston purchased this apartment in 2013
I love Margate which has re-emerged as a British holiday hotspot. The delightful town is filled with vintage furniture and clothes shops, as well as cafes, bars and restaurants.
The iconic Dreamland complex on the seafront is being newly refurbished and will provide a further host of other entertainments from June 2015 whilst retaining a retro vibe.
Nearby Botany Bay is a quiet, natural sandy beach with a Cornish vibe. 75 miles from London, Margate is easily accessible by motorway or high speed train from St Pancras in less than an hour and a half. The property is perfectly situated near town, beach and station so that most places are walkable.
This period apartment is located in a quiet terrace, a stone's throw from the sea. Steps lead to a sandy beach giving a private feel, and there is a cafe and crazy golf course, ideal for small children. The rooms are stylishly decorated, and furnished in a contemporary and vintage style. The main reception room boasts a fabulous bay window with incredible views of the sea, wonderful at sunset. There are plenty of local shops, takeaways and other amenities nearby and the train station is a five minute walk away. There is also off-street parking. The famous towns of Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Whitstable are close by and slightly further afield, places such as Sandwich, Deal, Sittingbourne and Canterbury are well worth a day trip.
'Stunningly decorated, beautiful views and very comfortable'
'Stylish, romantic and lovely sea views'
'Great location, great apartment - thank you!'
We had a lovely time in Margate. The flat was perfect for our needs, in a great location a few minutes walk from the centre of town and right on the beach. The view was superb. Well equipped kitchen, good selection of dvds and even buckets and spades for the kiddies. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return
We are a family of four, two adults, a 9 year old and 6 year old. We really enjoyed our stay in the comfortable apartment. Great location, basically right on the beach and within walking distance of the town. Very accomodating hostess who was not in a rush to get us out. Thanks for a good stay
Arriving on a wet and windy evening, I was greeted by the lovely Wendy (housekeeper) who made me feel immediately at home as she showed me into the warm and inviting flat. The place has a wonderful, modern yet somehow retro vibe and I was very happy to stay here and was sad when it was time to return to reality! I would definitely book Seaview Terrace again, if only for the amazing sea view from the window!
A fantastic apartment, perfectly suited for us and our young boys. Being so close to the beach allowed us to pop back for anything we'd forgotten or to grab some refreshments! It was just perfect for what we needed
We have just returned from spending four nights at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The flat was beautiful, super clean with every detail considered. The view from the sitting room window was amazing, and the flat was warm and inviting.Wendy( who lives upstairs) welcomed us and was very friendly and informative about the flat and area and advised us to call her if we had any concerns. We enjoyed watching some of the very good selection of DVDs,went for some lovely walks along the coast to the fabulous retro cinema at Westgate and also to Broadstairs.
We would love to visit again and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
We have just had a great stay at this flat. The location in a quiet part of town is superb, with lovely sea views but only a short walk into the main centre of Margate. The owner, Mandy, was extremely helpful and there was loads to keep us and the children entertained. We'll definitely be back!
