About Laura Field

Charles grew up in Cornwall and has regularly surfed at Porthmeor beach, so it's important for us to have a base here. We love St Ives for not only its unique location but for it's lively town atmosphere all year round, there is always something to do, see and eat.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

From my first enquiry on, the owner's communication was excellent. All of the directions/instructions were perfect. On arrival I was more than happy with the cottage; beautiful, cozy, comfortable and clean with everything we needed for a super stay! The whole cottage is my style of interior so I felt quite at home. Very comfortable beds, lots of hot water, well equipped kitchen, everything excellent quality. For us the location was perfect; right in the centre of town and a short walk to the harbour. I would definitely recommend the cottage to friends, and would love to go back some day. Thank you!

A peaceful haven in the centre of St Ives

  • 5 of 5

Our first impression was one of excitement. The cottage is fresh and clean and has a modern up to date feel along with some lovely traditional elements.

The space is really functional and comfortable and we were able to leave the car for the week and walk to the many beaches that surround St Ives.

The new windows make the cottage really cosy and there is very little noise despite being in the centre of town.

The little courtyard to the front of the property is a real suntrap in the mornings and we enjoyed our coffee there each day while the kids were still in bed.

There is a handy space/tiny yard for hanging wet suits or a clothes dryer that is sheltered and safe.

We did use the heating in the evenings when the temperature dropped but didn't get round to using the wood burner - this is a lovely option however!

A really lovely place for long weekends or holidays and really close to the train station if you want to leave the car behind and relax.

Charming cottage in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was ideal for us, (2 adults, 2 children), it is beautifully decorated with everything we needed and more. The location is right in the heart of St Ives, easy walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and beaches.

We have stayed in many places in St Ives over the years but this is one of the best, highly recommended. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
