About Laura Field

Charles grew up in Cornwall and has regularly surfed at Porthmeor beach, so it's important for us to have a base here. We love St Ives for not only its unique location but for it's lively town atmosphere all year round, there is always something to do, see and eat.

Laura Field purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Laura Field chose St Ives area

We chose 3 Kelly's Gardens for its character, location and well proportioned rooms.

A peaceful haven in the centre of St Ives

  • 5 of 5

Our first impression was one of excitement. The cottage is fresh and clean and has a modern up to date feel along with some lovely traditional elements.

The space is really functional and comfortable and we were able to leave the car for the week and walk to the many beaches that surround St Ives.

The new windows make the cottage really cosy and there is very little noise despite being in the centre of town.

The little courtyard to the front of the property is a real suntrap in the mornings and we enjoyed our coffee there each day while the kids were still in bed.

There is a handy space/tiny yard for hanging wet suits or a clothes dryer that is sheltered and safe.

We did use the heating in the evenings when the temperature dropped but didn't get round to using the wood burner - this is a lovely option however!

A really lovely place for long weekends or holidays and really close to the train station if you want to leave the car behind and relax.

Charming cottage in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was ideal for us, (2 adults, 2 children), it is beautifully decorated with everything we needed and more. The location is right in the heart of St Ives, easy walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and beaches.

We have stayed in many places in St Ives over the years but this is one of the best, highly recommended. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely cottage - small but comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is well equipped and is in a good location.

Due to the central location it is noisy at night.

Owner's Response: Dear Gemma, Many thanks for your feedback. Glad you had a nice week down in St Ives, sometimes it can be noisy in the town, therefore we are having acoustic windows fitted in the cottage on the 23rd March for this very reason. We would love to have you to come back again. Many thanks, Laura

Lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely and convenient cottage! We stayed over the May half term and really loved it. We've been to St. Ives before and this spot was just perfect. We will definitely be back! The cottage has everything you need and is so comfy and cosy, with plenty of space! Can't rate it highly enough. A lovely place!
