Location, location, location! This spacious historical Grade II listed building is situated in the prime position of Kellaway Court, overlooking Hope Square in Brewers Quay, Weymouth.
The location is excellent, with a choice of nearby pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes or choose fresh lobster and crab from the Quayside and dine in. Brewers Quay has a variety of antique shops and a military museum.
The vibrant harbour is only a minute or two away. Cross the nearby bridge or take the gentle rowing ferry across to the other side of the quay and within 5-10 minutes, you have the choice of visiting Weymouth's famous golden beach, or alternatively, take advantage of the well-stocked amenities in and around the main shopping area, comprising well known Department Stores alongside fascinating independent shops.
Santiago House is a contemporary family-friendly home away from home with a well-equipped kitchen, high quality bed linen and newly refurbished bathrooms which are finished to a boutique hotel standard. The Master Bedroom's Super-King bed is luxuriously big. This property especially welcomes families. Travel cot & high chair available, please contact the bookings team to add to your booking. As well as children's crockery there is a large selection of books, toys and DVD's provided.
The decked terrace overlooks Hope Square and Brewers Quay, which in turn are regularly populated by friendly people relaxing over a coffee, or glass of wine, providing a relaxed and happy ambiance. An ideal spot to watch the world go by. Parking is taken care of with two allocated parking spaces in an electronically gated secure residents parking area.
Dorset is equally as well known for it's activities as it is for the quiet life, sailing, fishing and walking to name but a few.
We live in London and both work. We also run around like crazy for the children with after-school activities. Their social diaries are jam-packed. We love London, but we also enjoy the fresh air in Weymouth and the chance to press the pause button and relax.
Maxine Spencer purchased this house in 2012
With a young family, we were looking for somewhere within easy reach of London where we could enjoy some sea air and simply unwind. Weymouth fitted the bill perfectly. It was the first house we looked at and we both instantly fell in love, buying the house just before the 2012 Olympics. The whole area was on a high and we happily got swept along. It takes us around 2 & half hours from North London, door to door and when the house is free, we just pack up the car and go. Our major surprise has been the food. Dorset excels in fantastic cuisine and we continue to find new exciting places, cooking fresh local produce to the highest standards. When embroiled in the daily grind at home, we look forward to heading off to Santiago House, where the everyday stresses of life get put on hold.
We were lucky to have picked such a fantastic location, as the house overlooks Hope Square in Brewers Quay and it is a pleasure to just sit on the balcony and watch the world go by.

"We had a lovely stay for my husband's 60th birthday. Thank you from all of my family." Mrs L Lewis.
"This is the second time we have stayed at Santiago House. What a find! A great location in Brewers Quay and such a big house. We have been with friend and family. Both parties loved it." Mrs Pamela Green
Beautiful property in a fabulous location. Will definitely be staying again, couldn't recommend more. Maxine (owner) was also very helpful and kind. Thank You for sharing your home with us x
We had the perfect stay at Santiago House over Christmas. The house is roomy, extremely clean and in a perfect location. The kitchen was also well stocked with all the glasses, pots, pans, cutlery etc that we would need as well as a well-stocked spice and condiment cupboard.
The check-in process was extremely easy as was the checkout.
I would definitely recommend this as a lovely family house.
Thank you to Maxine for sharing their home with us. This was a great place to stay and in the perfect location for our needs - close to family, harbor, restaurants etc. The property itself is very clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. The beds were made fresh and clean and are the most comfortable we have stayed in on our many trips. Access to the property and booking was easy process and went smoothly. Will be back next time in Weymouth. Highly recommended.
We had a great time staying at Santiago house. The beds were very comfortable and there was a lot of space in the kitchen, living, and dining rooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and pots/pans. The laundry machine came in handy. The bedrooms are separated from the main area, which is great if someone wants to go to bed early or take a nap. The location is fabulous, as we were able to get a pint just outside the front door.
We found that Santiago House is very well situated, just off the harbor and next to Hope Square, with its great pub The Red Lion and very good bistros. Although adjacent to these places, it is tucked just a little around the corner, so we were not troubled by any noise at night. The secure parking made life a lot easier than it might have been.
The rooms were as described- very roomy! -in particular, the lounge area, master bedroom, and a huge kitchen. Quite a few (squeaky) stairs to climb up to the top rooms, would not suit everyone, but it kept us fit and helped to work off some of the great food we enjoyed. Good décor, with some nice ‘seaside’ touches.
The owner Maxine was very friendly and helpful, advising us in advance of some road changes due to the Weymouth Waterfest (which was excellent, by the way).
We would definitely stay here again when heading back Weymouth way.
This is our third visit to this property. It is always presented clean, ready to use, well equipped and welcoming. It is ideally situated for town, beach and harbour. We rarely use our car as we can walk everywhere we want to go. Its unusual design offers in itself a fresh experience.
Away from the property, and within a short walk, there are an array of sights and areas just waiting to be explored. The golden sands of Weymouth beach are within a 10 minute walk, whilst the harbour is practically on your doorstep and Nothe Fort is an ideal spot for a picnic or barbecue. The 18 mile Chesil Beach is a firm favourite of ours, as is the Rodwell trail leading to Portland.
Bournemouth is the closest airport. Rail services to/from Waterloo - Weymouth.
Changeover Day: Friday. We can consider Weekend Bookings (not high season), don't be shy to ask.
