The holiday lets are situated to the front of the owner’s house and have off road parking for one car per property. 'The Barn' has its own garden, and 'The Milking Parlour' has an outside seating area. Guests are welcomed to the heart of rural Nottinghamshire for a luxurious escape from everyday life. Situated in the pretty farming village of Norwell, Schoolhouse Farm Holiday Lets have excellent walking and cycling from your door. Norwell has a Village Shop and ‘The Plough Pub’; both are a short walk from the property. The village of Norwell is approximately 7.5 miles from the beautiful Market Town of Newark, with a lovely range of shops, cafes and antique shops. It is also 10 miles from the picturesque Minster town of Southwell. Sherwood Forest, Rufford Abbey, Clumber Park and Belton House are within a 30 minute radius.

About Victoria Searle

Victoria and Jamie live in the farmhouse next to the Barn, Jamie is in the property development trade and decided to convert the barn into a luxurious holiday let, renovated and furnished to the highest standard whilst retaining the true character and features if the grade II listed building. Having stayed in a few holiday cottages we decided not to cut corners and to provide our guests with a comfortable, welcoming stay.

Norwell is a beautiful village with a real 'back in time' feel. It is a quiet village, and the shop and the pub are brilliant, meaning that you don't have to go far if you don't want to.

What makes this Bungalow unique

You really can do as much or as little as you like whilst on holiday in the barn; from staying in the village and exploring the local footpaths to getting on the A1 in only 5 minutes and going on a day trip.

                                            • Notes on accommodation: Up to two well behaved dogs per property would be considered after a conversation with the owner. The properties are situated to the front of the owners house and have surrounding neighbours. Outside: Off Road Parking for 1 car per property is provided directly outside the properties. The Barn has its own private Garden with a small patio with a table and chairs and 'The Milking Parlour' has its own small seating area in front of the property.

                                              This property is a 'studio' set-up (ie bed, living room and dining area all in the same space) with separate kitchen and shower room, ideal for 2 people, well equipped, spacious and very cosy. Dogs are accepted - we stayed with 2 dogs (small). Owner lives in adjacent house and was friendly and helpful when we were booking and staying there. Plenty to do in the area. Pub is right next door and serves good food.

                                              Travel: East Midlands Airport – 1 hour Doncaster Airport - 50 minutes London Kings Cross to Newark Northgate Station takes approximately 1 hour 30 mins by train and then a 15 minute taxi ride from Newark Northgate to Norwell. Use of a car would be recommended but there is a great village shop and pub so it would not be essential. Distances: Nearest Towns Newark – 7 Miles Southwell – 10 Miles Lincoln – 23 Miles Attractions Caunton Beck (fine dining gastro pub) – 2.5 miles Newfield Dairy Ice Cream Parlour – 5 miles Rufford Abbey and Country Park – 9 Miles Sherwood Pines – 13 Miles Sherwood Forest – 13 Miles Clumber Park – 17.3 Miles Belton House – 25 Miles Chatsworth House- 46 miles Further Details: Norwell is a beautiful, un-spoilt village with a shop that hosts an outreach post office on a Monday and Thursday morning. The village pub is a real hit with guests, serving a good pint and good food. We have some very good places to eat near by, for example 'Newfield Dairy Ice Cream Parlour' and 'The Caunton Beck Gastro Pub'. The local town of Newark has a wide range of shops, banks as well as a M&S, Waitrose, Asda and Morrisons and plenty of well priced restaurants and cafes. Southwell also has a large co-op offering a good range and has some lovely cafes and a ‘Southwell Heritage Walk’. We also have an Indian Restaurant only five minutes drive away, they also do take away food. The owner is happy to help you plan your stay and make suggestions of local places to visit to help plan your stay. Our nearest Supermarket is either Tesco in Ollerton or Waitrose / Asda or Morrisons in Newark. Newark has branches of most banks.
