I am a positive and laid back person, dedicated to my family and friends. I love to meet, mingle and interact with other people, be friendly and available to help others if need be. I am also involved with artistic projects and have training in Cultural Programming and Visual Arts. I like art in general, from literature and cinema to painting and sculpture. I like Quarteira very much and that is why I chose to buy this property. This was where I was born, when it was still a small and picturesque fishermen village, and I have witnessed its develpements up to these days. It may have lost its picturesque side, but in return it has envolved and it has now many advantages that make life easier and more comfort to those who live or spend their holidays here. This property has good access to the highway which allow you to enjoy all the region and its diverse landscape without taking too much time. It is close to golf courses, horse riding centres, theme parks, hiking trails, water sports etc.. Quarteira offers a huge variety of cultural and leisure events and its golden sandy beach is one of the best in Europe.
What makes this Apartment unique
The property is in an excelente and quiet location - being the final building in Quarteira, before the beach stretches on to Vale do Lobo – and it is part of a private condominium with interior patio and private communal pool. It is a great apartment with a large terrace with a wonderful view over the beach. It enjoys lifeguarded beaches with thatched parasols and sunbeds. One can find a wide variety of good restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. Wonderfull apartement, high quality, very well located, close to the beach, restaurant and shops, in a nice building. But not noisy.

Great apartment in perfect position
What a great find. The apartment is very comfortable and had everything to in it to make an enjoyable stay. Near the beach and plenty of eating places and near a supermarket. If you have a car, the parking is adjacent. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. They were there to meet us with the key and arranged transfers to and from the airport. We have booked again to go in October 2016.
We had the privilege of staying in both these apartments while on our recent holiday,the 1 bed is nice and cosy and has everything you need to self cater with the added bonus of the lovely sea view from the balcony,as for the penthouse WOW just amazing! Fantastic apartment with the best views ever of quarteira with its wonderful outside space,thanks to the Desousa family for being gracious hosts,we will definitely be back.
Great apartment right by the sea
Enjoyed a lovely holiday at this great family run apartment for myself and my girlfriend. The location was perfect with beach and sea views and near to the main strip for restaurants and shops. On arrival there was a very welcome basket of snacks, fruit, and a nice bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. The owners welcomed us on arrival and explained everything about the apartment, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely return to Quarteira and these lovely apartments at Oceanides.
TRAVEL Faro International Airport in the Algarve is very well served by multiple airlines, including low-cost airlines, which fly regularly from cities all over the UK and major European cities. The airport is approx. 25 minutes away from the property. Taxis are plentiful and can be found directly outside the airport (expect to pay at least € 30 to the apartment). We can also arrange an English Speaking Airport Transfer that usually are used by our guests (€ 30 up to 4 pax / € 40 up to 8 pax). Connections between Lisbon Airport and Quarteira/Algarve are plentiful by train or bus. For those who enjoy adventure or just to enjoy a different day out, the AquaShow waterpark, 10 minutes away from the property, is a must! Water slides, pools and crazy golf along with tropical birds and the Europe's biggest water coaster all in one theme park - the kids are going to love it! June is known for the festive parties celebrating the popular saints: St. António, St. João and St. Pedro. The celebrations in Quarteira, are considered to be the town's main tourist attraction and one of the most entrenched traditions. Three evenings of great joy (June 12th, June 23rd, June 28th) in which the saints are the inspiration for the parade, choreographies, songs, costumes, as well as the entire decoration of Avenida Infante Sagres (the promenade in front of the property). The groups in the contest do their final performance in the main square between the Oceanides Building and the "Gaivota" beach bar (admission free). At the end of June, during 4 days, the MED Festival takes place in the Historical Centre of Loulé. It is included in the itinerary of greatest “World Music” festivals in Europe. For several days, the streets of Loulé’s historic centre are transformed into a giant Mediterranean bazaar with music, food and activities for the whole family, bringing life and excitement to them. Benefiting from the presence in the city of many well-known names from the universe of “world music”. Advertising itself under the slogan of “music and much more”, the festival also presents other forms of art, including handicraft exhibitions, dance performances and street theatre. To complete this display of the typical culture of various countries, the festival ground will be filled with a number of different restaurants where you can sample some of the tastes of the traditional cuisine of each of the countries taking part. Throughout this festival, Loulé, with its narrow winding streets, where it is still possible to sense the atmosphere of Moorish times, will be a real mixture of cultures that nonetheless have many features in common. Quarteira's Book & Small Crafts Fair is always a popular event held in the Avenida Infante Sagres (on the promenade - 5 minutes away from the property), in August. This is a good opportunity to meet authors and purchase some great cut-price books as well as pick up some inexpensive Portuguese handicrafts (admission free). The New Year is another famous and busy season in the Algarve with several free public street parties, concerts and fireworks taking place across the region. Quarteira's New Years Eve celebrations are held in and around the Praça do Mar (the square in front of the Tourist Office and Praça do Mar Art Gallery). When the clock strikes twelve, visitors can enjoy a approx. 10 minutes fireworks display.
