Apartment near the Danube, Vienna - The apartment is in a quiet location with most activities within 15 mins by foot, train or bus

Our apartment offers comfort and convenience. From Kagran the underground route to the City centre is just 12 mins. Places of interest to most visitors include St.Stephen´s Cathedral with a horse drawn carriage trip around the inner City. The Rathaus (Town hall) where many interesting functions take place in its grounds throughout the year including the Christmas market and outdoor ice skating around the park pathways. Schönbrunn with its majestic palace and gardens and the oldest zoo in the world. The Hofburg for the Lippizaner horse shows, the Prater funfair for some of the dizziest rides in the world and the big wheel (Riesenrad) which featured in a Bond movie. Music and arts are to be found at the Opera, Stadthalle and the Museumquartier. There is no end of entertainment in this vibrant City, just Google it, talk to the information centre or to us. Local to Kagran we have the Danube Tower with its revolving restaurant and lovely ornamental gardens for pleasant walks.

My name is Roger and I am responsible for the running and letting of this property.

We acquired the apartment some years ago when people started moving out of the City centre to the other side of the Danube to experience more open space, clean air and less traffic.

It was a good move as there are now many additional features available for the holiday maker which are very local.

What makes this apartment unique

Staying here, you will enjoy peace, clean air and a variety of alternative activities.

You will be close to the City, the interesting countryside and to all the interests the Danube, Danube island and Danube lake can offer.

Notes on accommodation: This apartment is strictly non smoking. Unfortunately we are unable to accept animals. There is a secure parking allocation directly under the accommodation. In the entrance hall there is a door entry system to allow tenants to remotely open the main front door to visitors. We are very flexible with arrival and departure times and will meet you and greet you at the apartment. Utility Room: There is no separate utility room as it is used by the owners to store materials and towels needed for the letting. There is a utility cupboard in the kitchen containing cleaning materials, broom dustpan, vacuum, ironing board and iron and other items. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We provide all towels, bed linen, tablecloths, tea cloths sufficient for your stay. Cleaning is completed before arrival but additional cleaning may be carried out during your stay by arrangement. Bedding/towel change etc. would be by the tenant. Other: We provide a free DVD of Vienna to set the mood and some street maps to help you find your way around. There is a cycle storage room in the cellar and you are welcome to use it. The drinking water from the taps is of the best quality and very good.



Fly to Vienna international airport (Schwechat).

Car hire available. Secure parking in our basement on request.

Taxi costs about 35 Euros.

Fast train (CAT) to Landstasse then underground U3 and U1 to Kagranerplatz.

Airport bus direct to Kagran then walk 5 mins. current cost about 7

Euros each way.

Airport bus to UNOcity the U1 to Kagranerplatz and 3 mins walk.


We are situated midway between Kagran and Kagranerplatz underground stations.

12 mins from Kagranerplatz to Stephansplatz by underground.

Further Details:

The City centre is very much a pedestrian precinct and is steeped in culture and history and is a MUST at Christmas with its Christkindl markets,roast chestnuts, punch and hot potato stalls with decorative street lighting that pales Oxford Street into insignificance.

Vienna is very compact and a drive into the country takes little time.

The area of Kagran also has much to offer.

A supermarket, bookshop, photographic, internet cafe, restaurants, and Heurige are closeby, within 200 metres.

Local buses, taxis and trams together with the underground are all very accessible and reasonably priced.

The large Donauzentrum (DZ) is a super air conditioned shopping mall with every type of shop you can imagine. It has many restaurants and theme bars with snooker, music and relaxing areas.

There is a newly refurbished indoor/outdoor swimming pool local and an ice skating rink next to Kagran station and one stop on the tube takes you to the Old Danube (Alte Donau) for grassy sun bathing, sailing, boating and water sports.

The main Danube river is close for your river trip to Melk or Durnstein or just for a view of the surroundings.

There is a fast hydrofoil to Bratislava to see the old city and maybe purchase some fine lead crystal (former Czechoslovakia, renowned for its glass)

Booking Notes:
Lettings in excess of one week would be the weekly charge plus a daily charge of 68 Euros. Lettings longer than two weeks would be negotiable.
Payment is cash on arrival when we meet to exchange keys.
A deposit of 100 Euros is required to cover damage, fully refundable on departure.
A cleaning charge of 30 Euros will be added to the letting charge.

Reasonably secure car parking is available under the apartment. 30 Euros per wk.

Arrival and departure time are to suit you.

100 Eur deposit to secure rental. Rental in cash on arrival. Deposit returned on leaving.

Manager's Cancellation Policy
