This finely refurbished property in a peaceful picturesque village is only ten minute walk from Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and an ideal base for walking and mountain biking in the Mendips and the lush countryside. Within easy reach of the areas many attractions. Wells, with magnificent cathedral and Bishops Palace; Wookey Hole, the renowned Clarks Village shopping outlet in Street, the resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare, Longleat House and Safari Park and Bath and Glastonbury. Further afield lies Exmoor National Park with the famous resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth, joined by cliff railway. Fishing, golf, riding (2 miles) are available locally. Shop and pub serving food 300 yards.

The owners of The Orchard, James and Carole have lived all their lives in Cheddar. They live next door to the Orchard which is useful but are very discreet .They

can offer invaluable insight into places to eat, shop and

explore during your stay.

We take great pride in the decor and cleanliness of the

property. The surrounding gardens are well tended and

very colourful.

You will not find owners who are more passionate about their property or location. Somerset is a very beautiful County.

Why Carol Roberts chose Sedgemoor

The Orchard is a very large bungalow and underwent a complete refurbishment four years ago. It is beautifully situated in the heart of Cheddar. It is in its

own cul-de-sac with off road parking. The driveway has been tarmacked recently so everything makes for very easy access and walking.

What makes this bungalow unique

The benefits of staying at the Orchard are plenty. If you just want to relax it is perfect however if you want to have a walking holiday the Mendips are all aroud us.

We have plenty of opportunity for fishing, painting and there are numerous golf courses within a short distance of Cheddar

There are many tourist attractions nearby, Bath, Wells with its beautiful Cathedral and market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From there go on to Glastonbury and Street with the famous shoppinginn a restful setting. Longleat is only 40 minutes drive from us and is a very full days entertainment. Seaside resorts are Burnham on sea, Brean and Weston super Mare.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen inc. The property is cleaned every Friday and is of a very high standard. We also have a very good display of flowers and both the outside and inside is in excellent decorative order. Other: There are two double bedrooms and another bedroom with three single bedrooms. The main bedroom has an en suite. The bungalow is exceptionally spacious and we pride ourselves on our cleanliness.

The Orchard is a Beautiful,Clean,well equipped Holiday Bungalow,with everything you need for a perfect stay,everything is clean and works exactly as it should,It is in the Heart of Cheddar Village with good Restaurants,Cheese Shops and pretty little shops and the Caves are stunning,It is also very near Bristol and the Coast,Carol greeted us when we arrived and explained everything to us,and the Milk and Bread were very welcome after our journey,I left two of my coats at the Bungalow by mistake,and Carol very kindly posted them to me the very same day!! This really is a lovely place to stay,and we will certainly be returning and would highly recommend it to all our Friends and anyone thinking of taking a holiday in Cheddar.

Lovely Quiet Holidat Home.

The Orchard was a spacious, clean and well equipped bungalow. We found the location central to visiting places in Somerset making our stay very relaxing. It was in walking distance of many takeaway restaurants which we utilised to the full. Our only complaint would be about the temperature of the hot water which was scalding hot and needed careful management, especially in the on suite. We also found the central heating was on which the time of year and the temperatures did not warrant but this we switched off so we lived in a very comfortable environment. All in all I would recommend The Orchard to anyone wishing a quiet comfortable holiday with many attractions nearby. We had a wonderful holiday. Thank you.

The bungalow itself s set in its own cul de sac and yet is within 10 minute wallking distance of the famous Cheddar Gorge. Perfect house for our large family. Brilliant location.

Just got back from a week in this lovely bungalow. Everything you need for a relaxing week with all the home comforts. Was a superb base to walk or drive out to see all the local attractions and Carole was really helpful with ideas and directions when we arrived and although she only lived next door we were very much left to enjoy our break, knowing she was there if we needed.

Bungalow was spotless and very comfortable. Will definitely recommend x

LOVELY BUNGALOW IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION

Very spacious, clean, well maintained and comfortable property. The owners Carol and Jim were very friendly and extremely helpful, making our stay a pleasure.

Cheddar Gorge which has so much to offer is a short walk from the bungalow with plenty of lovely pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops.

We would highly recommend this property and hope to go again.

Owner's Response: We try to make your holiday home from home. Although we are within the vicinity we like to feel that holidayakers are able to ask for anythinng but yet not feel we are intrusive. Somerset is a loely County offering not only spectacular scenery but lots of places to go and lots of things to do for all ages.

Excellent bungalow complemented with the friendly owners Carol & Jim

2 minutes walk into Cheddar great for exploring Somerset.

Only slight criticism was the cafes in Cheddar Gorge which didn't open until after 9.30 am a bit late for breakfast.

Would definitely recommend the property.

Easy walking access. There are quite a few pubs with eating facilities. Cheddar has two supermarkets and tow banks also a very good leisure

centre with an excellent indoor swimming pool.
