About the property

Buddle Barn is a detached converted 18th Century cow barn. The property has recently undergone major renovation to provide a high standard of living accommodation & has a spacious contemporary feel to it. There is a private south facing garden and off street parking in the stable yard. It is situated in the grounds of a Grade 2 Listed farmhouse in this quiet location on the Undercliff with miles of beautiful walks all around. Niton village is close by with all the essential shops. Well behaved dogs welcome, except during July & August

Everything we hoped for

The Barn is quiet and really well appointed with very comfortable beds, a well planned and equipped kitchen, spacious living area, private parking, a lovely garden and considerate owners. A really good place to stay.

Excellent accommodation

My husband, young baby and I stayed here for a long weekend in late Oct. the barn was better than we could have hoped for. It was a perfect location with sea views and less than 5 mins from the Buddle Inn. The property was newly renovated to a high standard. Two good sized bedrooms, underfloor heating, well equipped and cosy. The garden wasn't used due to the weather but it looked great for summertime. The owner, Jay, popped in to see us one day with flowers for the table and a clothes airer as we have a small baby and she thought it would be useful for washing - very thoughtful. We would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be returning ourselves next year.

St.Catherine's Lighthouse is a two minute walk. Castlehaven beach is 5 minutes, but only accessed at low tide over the rocks. A ten minute drive will take you to lovely sandy beaches at Steephill Cove & Ventnor. Compton Bay is a 20 minute drive, perfect for body boarding.


Cross to the Island from either Portsmouth or Lymington via Wightlink ferries or from Southampton via Red Funnel


Niton village is a 10 minute walk away with grocer, pub, post office/Tearoom, chemist & general store.

The Buddle Inn country pub serving food is a few hundred yards away.

Well behaved pets welcome apart from July & August, supplement £30.Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture.

Short breaks welcome from October to March Outside: The south facing garden has recently been planted and is enclosed by a fence there is a patio area with outdoor furniture. There is off street parking for one car in the Stable Yard shared with Buddle Place. Further parking just outside the gates. Driveway not suitable for low sprung cars. Utility Room: Utility room in the garage attached to The Stable with large sink for washing wetsuits, tumble-drier & hanging rail plus storage for bikes & surfboards. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included & are changed weekly. Beach towels not provided. High chair & Travel cot also available (linen not included). Other: Entrance Lobby with coat hooks and bench.
