In Summer-Food welcome pack on arrival with wine and beer!
We had an incredible time away. The food is amazing, and great company from Jane and David. Thank you so much.
After the drive down from Calais, it was lovely to get to the apartment and find it exactly as advertised and also to have such a warm welcome from Jane and David that included a starter pack for that all important cup of tea!
The accommodation was clean and well equipment to give us everything that we needed, with a good selection of DVD's for the children to watch. We were also offered a choice of rooms to move the children into which was helpful. Jane and David have put information leaflets into the apartment to list some of the local tourist haunts, but most usefully they have put their own brochure together to show what they have found locally and this includes scenic drives, lakes, waterfalls, pretty villages etc which are not listed in brochures. We enjoyed visiting numerous of these. The booklet also contained information on restaurants stating whether they were expensive or not and also whether they spoke English - essential for us lazy mono lingual Englishmen!
To supplement this list, Jane and David were always available if required to give some additional advice or route guidance to help make any planned visit even smoother. They are both excellent hosts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to all our friends - it may not appear on the main tourist agenda, but there is so much to see and do here from the Roman remains in Aosta, the electric bicycles to tour the winery, the white water rafting, the magnificent views, visiting the local ski resorts, swimming in the mountain lakes etc etc.
After a hard days exploring, the Jacuzzi is available and, despite the warm weather, is a lovely way to unwind.
As a family with 3 children we all had an excellent holiday.
We enjoyed our stay in this property. David and Jane were very helpful and armed us with local knowledge including detailed walking maps. This helped us to have some great days out in places like Lilaz in the Gran Paradisio national park which otherwise we may not have found.
This is a lovely property with great hosts. We had a fantastic stay at the end of the ski season and enjoyed the hosting skills of Jane, Dave and the team. A fantastic view from the terrace reminded us of the great location, and evenings in the hot tub will be remembered for a long time.
There are many fabulous things about going on a holiday with JDSki, one of the main things being that you emerge from the airport to find someone waiting to collect you ! The property is clean, well equipped and really feels like a home from home. Customer service is second to none and I would recommend this as a family holiday without reservation.
