We have had a business in Kefalonia for almost 20 years. We had two children and now live both in Kefalonia and the U.K.. It is a family run business, building and managing villas. We manage, clean and maintain all our villas to a very high standard. This property was purchased as a home base and as we only are in the U.K. for a period of time, we decided to holiday let it when we are away. It is located in an ideal area close to many tourist attractions and yet far enough away to be a quiet get away.
Frances Findlay purchased this bungalow in 2012
This was our second visit to this lovely bungalow situated in a quiet residential area of Thornton-Cleveleys. The shops and restaurants are approx 10-15 mins walk away and Cleveleys is approx a couple of miles away...there is also a convenience store round the corner. We did lots of walking with the dogs including a walk to the Wyre Valley Country Park which is approx 25mins walk away. The Owner is very helpful and responsive to any queries. We would recommend this property for anyone wanting a relaxing break away... We've already booked our next stay!
Clean and good location. Need to consider new beds as really uncomfortable
Cosy little bungalow in quiet residential street within easy reach of both seaside and country villasges
The bungalow itself was excellent value for money if we had been a family of four. It would have been nice to have had a pro rata payment for just two people. However, it was homely and had everything I needed. My Mum who is nearly 91 had trouble with the front steps and a grab rail in the shower would add to safety aspect for people who have limited mobility. It was nice to be able to make ourselves at home after a day out. The buses are not very frequent and limits the places you can go to without changing somewhere. The wifi was good to have when I eventually worked out how to get it (I am not good with technology). It was very useful to have the owners mobile number for any emergencies. Thank you for a nice stay.
i have stayed here for 4 nights with my family and my first comment is that house is very clean , owner has provided almost everything you need at home. Its in a very safe and quiet locality, and u have Tesco / pubs / restaurant near by. House heating system / WI-FI runs very smooth. In the house you have ample space for a family. there are spare DVD and Books to enjoy in your free time. There are lot of wardrobe and shelf in house for your all luggage . kitchen is very well organised with Toaster / coffee maker / oven etc. I will certainly love to be back in this home if i need to visit blackpool. The only improvement i will recommend is to change bunk bed mattress, however mattress in main bedroom is good and if possible change TV to 30 inch size.
You will need to bring your own light bulbs because most were missing or didn't work. The owner didn't respond to the email, so don't expect anything like support. Add the fact that the TVs remotes had no batteries and the garden furniture was broken, with the garden unsafe for Childern with slippery moss covered patio and broken fench panels laying n the floor. This really is a place to avoid.
