Cottages Nr Keswick Lake District Cumbria - Appletree Cottage nr. Keswick, Lake District, Fenced Garden, Own Parking

Both properties have their own fully fenced gardens which allow dogs the freedom of the garden within the safety of the grounds. They also have their own parking for up to 2 cars per property. Bed linen and all electric is included in the tariff. Up to 4 well behaved dogs are allowed free of charge. The views from both properties take in Bleaberry Fell, Cat bells and Grisedale Pike. Dog blankets, dog towels, bowls, dog beds, leads and holiday tags are provided. There are several walks of varying terrain straight from the door. The Osprey Viewpoint at Dodd Wood is very close by. The Nuthatch is on the lower reaches of Dodd Wood and attracts a huge amount of wildlife from Woodpeckers, Buzzard, Roe Deer, Hedgehogs, Frogs and an amazing slelction of Butterfly. The Nuthatch is conveniently situated 2.5 miles on the outskirts of Keswick at the foot of Skiddaw and Dodd Wood

About Miss Jude Hartley

Hi, my name is Jude. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I aim to provide self catering accommodation that is clean, comfortable, warm but most importantly dog friendly. I had 3 dogs of my own and found it incredibly hard to find anywhere that would allow me to take all 3 dogs and to feel comfortable whilst there so my I have made sure that my cottages are dog friendly. I love walking the fells, photography and wildlife and find The Lakes ideal for all hobbies.

Why Miss Jude Hartley chose England

The Northern Lakes are a fantastic base for exploring the whole of The Lake District. The properties are close enough to town but far enough out to avoid the busyness. They are set in a fantastic area to use as a base for walks.

What makes this bungalow unique

I love the abundance of wildlife that is both at and around the cottages. There are paths up Skiddaw, Carlside, Dodd from the door, a quiet high level road that you walk into Keswick or a low level path that follows the river in to Keswick. The views are breathtaking looking over Bleaberry Fell and Grisedale Pike. At the cottages you have the peace and quiet yet Keswick with its abundance of dog friendly pubs and good grub are only 2.5miles away.

Perfect dog friendly cottage

This was our second stay in this cottage and we just love it. Very clean and spacious and has everything you need. Dogs are made very welcome. It's perfect! Booked again for next year.

great little property in stunning location

this is a very well equipped cottage with everything a family needs for a great holiday, the location is superb off the main road in a quiet location , the cottage is also great for anyone with dogs as the garden is enclosed so they can run free the owner Jude is just a phone call away should you require any assistance with the property i would not hesitate to recommend this cottage

Coast/Beach:

20 minutes drive to the beach at Allonby, fantastic for the dogs and there's also an amazing ice cream shop.

Distances:

The cottages are only 6 minutes drive, 40 minutes on foot/ 2.5 miles from Keswick the main town in the area. Cockermouth is 15 minutes by car, Penrith 20 minutes by car and Carlisle is 40 minutes by car. Dodd Wood visitors Centre can be reached on foot in 20 minutes, all of the Wainwrights are easily accessable by car and Skiddaw, Carlside, and Lattrigg can also be walked/climbed from the door. There are footpaths to Braithwaite and Portinscale which can also be reached by car in 6 minutes.

Further Details:

Keswick is only 2.5 miles away and has a choice of supermarkets, banks, gift shops, attractions, activities on offer and many outdoor shops. Borrowdale valley, Honister pass and Whinlatter Visitors Centre are less than 15 minutes drive. The cottages have details of walks in all area of the Lake District.

Appletree Cottage has a bike shed with padlock and key.
