Complete with modern, high quality furnishings and decor and with luxurious bed-linen and towels, a warm welcome awaits you. Fully equipped kitchens including dishwasher and washing machine. Master bedrooms have King-sized beds whilst others have Super-king, King or 2 x Single beds according to guests' preference. The historic County House building is located very close to York city centre in a quiet, gated complex with the benefit of private, security-gated parking for 1 car per apartment.

No 28 offers a welcoming entrance hall, 3 spacious bedrooms, 1 en-suite shower room, luxury family bathroom with de-luxe shower over the bath, open-plan living, dining-room, kitchen.

No 29 offers 2 bedrooms, 2 luxury shower-rooms, spacious lounge and balconied dining-room/kitchen above with great views beyond the massive windows. NEW for 2016 .... is the newly fitted, bespoke kitchen with granite worktops and also the newly created, bright, 2nd shower-room providing even better facilities for our guests comfort and enjoyment.

Centrally situated on the 1st floor, 29 County House is a large, luxurious apartment offering the ideal base to explore all that York offers. Equipped and maintained to the highest standards for your comfort and relaxation. Huge windows let the day-light stream in. Nearby endless, quality restaurants/pubs wait to tempt your tastebuds whilst the supermarket, just 2 minutes away, can provide any "bits and pieces" that might be required during your stay.

Via lift access or stairs guests can enjoy the spacious lounge with comfy reclining sofas, the fully equipped, galleried kitchen/dining area with fabulous outlook, King-size beds/or 2 twin beds (bedroom 2) with crisp, white bedding, plumptious pillows plus a superb luxury, shower-room with drench shower.

Perfect relaxation

Very convenient apartment for visiting York.

Excellent accommodation for 4 people with everything that is needed for a relaxing stay. Our host seemed very pleased to welcome us with our 2 Canadian friends.She even planned perfect weather. Convenient Sainsbury's next door and plenty of Pubs nearby for food and entertainment.

Brilliant apartment, great location

This apartment was perfect for our family stay in York. Pauline was the perfect host. The apartment was luxurions and very convenient to all the attractions but far enough to be lovely and quiet. We look forward to returning- maybe without the children !!!

Great apartment in a great position

This is a fabulous apartment with 2 good size bedrooms and bathrooms. It was spotlessly clean and the layout is well thought out. Pauline met us when we arrived, directed us to our allocated parking space and showed us around the apartment which has everything you need.

The building is stunning and the location is fabulous as you are within a 5 mins walk of the city centre. There is a Sainsbury's next door (and you hear no noise whatsoever from it). If you are thinking of booking don't hesitate and we will be back again

A Little Gem

This property was immaculate in every detail, centrally located and within easy walking distance to restaurants and amenities. Towels and bed linen were of excellent quality, beds were super comfortable and all areas were spotlessly clean- a perfect 'pied de terre'.( with some little treats for us to enjoy!) We will certainly recommend to our friends. Thank you Pauline.

Stunning.

Absolutely stunning apartment with a very modern interior. Pauline was very helpful recommending some nice little restaurants and nice walks. Literally 2 minutes walk and you are in the city walls. I definitely would recommend this apartment.

Wonderful accommodation and woderful location

My husband and I were met at the apartment by the owner, Pauline, who was absolutely delightful, down to earth and really helpful. She pointed out a number of local attractions, which were all within walking distance of the apartment. There was a basket of goodies left for us, totally unexpected! The apartment was first class; extremely clean and very comfortable. Beds and bedding were top quality! The location was fantastic, two minutes from the York Minster. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a first class city break. Absolutely amazing!

Whitby, Scarborough, Filey approx. 1 hour drive. Whitby can also also accessed from Pickering via Steam Train.

Nearest Airport is Leeds-Bradford.

Lots of beautiful villages, small towns, e.g. Helmsley, National Trust properties, Yorkshire Moors all nearby but varying distances.

Notes on prices:
Short-breaks available from £135 per night no 29 and £145 for no 28 - minimum stay 3 nights. Additional charge (£15 pppn) for more than 4 guests in no 28. Special Event/Season prices may vary from stated date-prices. Please enquire for longer term stays and other offers that may be available.

We also charge a Security Bond fee of £250 - this is fully refundable within 5-7 days subject to satisfactory property check after departure.

Notes on accommodation: As owners we are very happy to talk to guests on the telephone if you would like to call and we look forward to meeting guests personally to show them around the property. We can be contacted at most times during a visit should you have any questions or requests during your stay. We are never far away but will never be IN the way! Wi-fi access and lots of tourist information is placed in the apartment. County House is strictly non-smoking throughout and pets are not permitted into our apartments. The property is fully residential and we trust our guests will respect other residents, as they should you. Children may not use the lift without the company of an adult. Outside: The nearest supermarket is 2 minutes away. The train station is a 15 minute walk and taxis can be found close by. All local shops and amenities can be reached on foot - there is no need to use your car unless you want to go further afield such as to the Dales, the Moors, the coast, National Trust properties or any of the lovely villages and small towns in the area. An oasis of peace close to the heart of the city of York, historic County House is set back from the main road yet very close to all the city's main attractions. The seclusion and privacy prompt guests to relax and "re-charge the batteries" and get ready for their next adventure or treat.
