About Helen Hanna

Hi I'm Helen and welcome to Naburn Holiday Cottage info. I live in Selby, which is about 14 miles from Naburn. My family and I have enjoyed many cottage holidays over the years and when the opportunity arose, we were inspired to create our own holiday cottage so that our guests can have a good time exploring all that North Yorkshire has to offer from a comfortable base.

Our priority was to offer good quality, clean and comfortable accommodation with great home from home facilities. I am able to provide a personal touch for our guests as I prepare the cottage myself and look after all other aspects of bookings and running the cottage.

Why Helen Hanna chose North Yorkshire

I was born and brought up in Yorkshire and love the variety that North Yorkshire offers from historic towns and cities to wild moors and a beautiful coastline. Naburn is ideally placed to explore all that North Yorkshire has to offer yet Naburn itself is a traditional riverside village with an excellent pub.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Thank you for a wonderful stay. Your house is 5 star, very well equipped, gorgeously comfy bed and great location, we loved it!"

Tim and family

‘The cottage has been beautifully restored not so much a ‘home from home’ but a ‘better than home’ from the fixtures and fittings to the games, books, dvds and treats – the free wifi and ipod docking stations were a real bonus. Had breakfast a few days on the patio in the sunshine and by the end of the week I was thoroughly relaxed and did not want to go home!”

Wonderful accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Located in a very pretty village, good food at local pub. Not far from York Outlet for park and ride. Thank you Helen for the treats left.

Helen's property is wonderful. It is very charming, comfortable, and easily accessible to York

  • 5 of 5

We 3 women had a wonderful time in York and in Helen's property in Naburn. It was spotlessly clean and well decorated with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the patio near the snicket and the charming neighborhood. We would certainly stay here again and we were sad to leave. Thank you for the fruitcake and other treats!!

Perfect home-from-home superbly located to explore Yorkshire

  • 5 of 5

Stunning, this absolute gem of a property should be a benchmark against which other similar properties are rated. Very tastefully decorated throughout, everything pristine and well maintained, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need in a home from home. Best thing I can say is if we were housebound due to an act of God we wouldn't have minded one bit, very cosy & comfortable indeed. The worse possible thing we could say is that it might be an idea to have blackout curtains in the bedroom and perhaps some lace too for privacy, we were most fortunate to have visited Yorkshire during a spell of amazing weather and we were unaware that the sun actually rises at 4.30 am !, not that we minded too much, the little courtyard at the back with its garden table and chairs was a lovely place to sit with a morning coffee listening to nothing but the birds. Loved it, and would definitely stay again when we return to the area.
