Churchside guest apartment is a private and self contained one bedroom annexe to Churchside house in the village of Littlebury Green, 3 miles from the attractive market town of Saffron Walden. Churchside offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and a great location from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and local sights with easy access to London and Cambridge for day visits. There are numerous good walks straight from the front door, which can take in local pubs (for instance in Chrishall and Wendens Ambo). We hope that we have provided everything you need for a comfortable stay.

About Bridget Featherstone
Churchside Guest Apartment is the self contained annex to Churchside House. My family and I have lived at Churchside for the last four years but it has only been in the spring of this year when we decided to rent out the apartment for holidays. We hope that it will provide a good base for happy holidays in the area, it certainly is a fabulous area to live in and we think it is would also be a great area to holiday in.

We had a lovely few days away. Apartment has all you need. The surrounding countryside is lovely.. the owners have a number of walks mapped out.. as well as all information on the surrounding area.. we loved our stay. And would stay again.. maybe longer next time..

Like a comfortable & clean home from home
I enjoyed a lovely two day break in Bridget's annexe. It's a perfect space for a couple ( although I went with my four-legged friend ) with masses of walks, pubs and of course, Saffron Waldon on your doorstep. Personally, I really appreciated the maps as well as the other extra touches like toiletries, a fruit bowl and tea & coffee.
I would definitely recommend this holiday home if you're looking for somewhere very clean, comfortable yet self contained.

Travel: Stansted Airport 22km, Cambridge Airport 27km, Luton Airport 59km Dover 185km, Felixstowe 124km Audley End train station (for trains to London, Cambridge) 4.6km Car essential Distances: Saffron Walden 3 miles Audley End House 2 miles Cambridge 15miles London 60 miles (approximately 1 hour on the train) Duxford Air museum 6 miles Further Details: Churchside guest apartment is 3 miles from the beautiful and historic market town of Saffron Walden, with it's varied architecture and wide range of restaurants, shops, museum, mazes, The Fry art gallery, the Lord Butler Leisure centre, and Saffron Screen cinema. Audley End House is a stunning English Heritage property with wonderful gardens, tea rooms and play areas for children, and is only 2 miles away. Numerous events are hosted there throughout the year, and a minature railway is adjacent to Audley End House and provides some great entertainment for the younger children. Duxford Air Museum is 6 miles and the wonderful city of Cambridge, great for punting and sight seeing, just 15 miles away. Audley End train station is 2.5 miles away with regular direct trains into London, taking about 1 hour. There are also regular trains to Cambridge and London Stansted airport.Churchside offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and a great location to explore the beautiful surrounding areas and countryside. Next door to the apartment is 'The Bumpy' which is a local nature reserve. Deer are often seen and owls heard here. There are numerous beautiful walks and cycle rides in the area, and these can easily take in local pubs

Booking Notes: Full payment is due 30 days before the arrival date. Any deposit paid is non refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 2 weeks before your arrival date you will not be liable for the total balance. Bookings will only be cancelled by ourselves if your accommodation was unavailable for any reason in which case we would refund the full amount paid. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund. Changeover Day: Minimum stay 2 nights. Changeover day is flexible, please contact us. Arrival is generally after 3pm and departure by 10am unless otherwise arranged. Notes on prices: One dog is charged at £10 extra per stay We will offer discounts on last minute bookings, please contact us for a quote.
