The location is great for walkers, surfers, beach lovers and those requiring retail therapy! There are numerous local pubs offering a range of food styles and quality.

Notes on accommodation: The barn has 3 floors. On the ground floor is the dining room, kitchen, utility room and toilet. The first floor has a double bedroom, mezzanine, large sitting room and family shower room. The second floor has double bedroom with full en suite and second large double bedroom with 2 double beds. Then property also offers wireless broadband and landline telephone for 'sensible use' Outside: The private enclosed rear garden accessed from the sitting room and rear entrance has patio table, chairs, parasol and a gas bbq. There is also a store room where you will find beach chairs, beach parasol, 2 windbreaks, buckets and spades, crabbing lines, body boards and wet suits suitable for children. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer and chest freezer Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All indoor towels and linen are included. These are changed weekly when the property is cleaned Other: Adjoining the kitchen there is a separate dining room with oak dining table and 8 leather chairs. On the first floor there is a mezzanine area with a 2 seater sofa ,TV for X-Box 360 and Wii console with 'Wii Sports and Wii Fit'

Perfect holiday cottage.

Looking for a great place to stay in South Devon? Look no further. Great cottage with a huge amount of space in a very peaceful setting. The cottage has three bathrooms, a huge lounge, a cot, two tv's, a microwave oven, a washing machine and dryer, a high chair, a garden, etc etc, the list goes on. Friendly and helpful owner.

Excellent property

We had an amazing week. The property had everything that we needed and more. The décor is lovely and very well maintained. The owner was extremely helpful and we really couldn't have asked for more. We would certainly not hesitate to recommend this property 100%.

Beautiful Cottage

Lovely cottage with beautiful decor. My friends and I were staying in Devon for a wedding on the 11th and were in love with the place. The weather on the wedding day was exceptional and we couldn't ask for more. Definitely would come back again to the Old Dairy if or when we return to this part of Devon.

Delightful spacious cottage

We stayed a week and loved the spacious and well equipped layout of the cottage - lots of little extras provided. All the rooms were tastefully decorated bringing together the old and the new. We particularly enjoyed the garden and all the chirping birds.

Would recommend the Oyster Shack, nor Bigbury, for an entertaining dining experience.

Lots of day trips out to; Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Burgh Island and Hope Cove.

We would highly recommend the cottage for a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful countryside setting

We stayed for a long weekend and found the property just as described. There were six of us in the party - three children and three adults. The barn was spacious and well equipped, clean and well maintained. The garden was enclosed and private with lots of birds feeding on the feeders. A real bonus was the fact that we had fantastic weather! We would highly recommend this property.

A great place to stay

I had arranged my Mother in Law's 70th birthday for a group of 6 adults 2 children and a dog. No mean feet in itslef ! The Barn was top notch. Loads of space. Well maintaned with good facilities. Loved the gravelled courtyard at the back. Great for R & R. We ate at the hope and Anchor in Hope cove and the Victoria Inn in Salcombe. Both had excellent pub grub. Recommend a trip to Burgh island and Modbury for a mouch around the shops (for the girls). Thank you Kevin. We will come here again.

There are numerous beaches close by - the closest being Bigbury on Sea. This is very child friendly with shallow sea and fine sandy beach. Across the beach is Burgh Island where the legendary Burgh Island Hotel is located along with the historical Pilchard Inn. The island is cut off when the tide comes in but the island can still be reached using the Sea Tractor -great fun for kids.

There is a car park, toilets with showers and the Venus Café offering organic produce - including local pasties!


Nearest airport is Exeter - around 40 minutes away.

Nearest station - Totnes - 13 miles

Car is essential!
