Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful place to stay, relax, unwind but also feel like its home from - the Gites is equipped with everything you could need and Janet and Mick are more than happy to help - nothing is too much trouble. Very family friendly and lots of space for little ones to play, run around and have fun, in a very safe environment. Bikes were lent to us and the badminton net was put up for our use, Janet and Mick certainly made our holiday! A great location to see the Pink Granite Coast and surrounding towns and villages, Janet told us where the local markets were and the key places to visit, which enhanced our holiday. We had a truly wonderful week at Crech Mordo and will certainly be going back.

Fabulous place!

  • 5 of 5

Great location that uses the space well! We had a relaxing time and the 2 children loved the badminton.

Janet and Mick are welcoming hosts, but unobtrusive, who are keen to cater to their guests. They even provide suitable books and games for the children.

We arrived to find a welcome pack which was an unexpected surprise. The log burner was fantastic, we had cosy family evenings in front of it. Thank you!

The town is nearby and so picturesque. The beds were so comfy we all slept well and woke refreshed to a lovely view. None of us wanted to leave.

We will definitely be back.

Perfect short break!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely place to be based to explore the amazing North Brittany coast, without competing with hundreds of other tourists! Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful - apart from meeting us in Pontrieux to lead us to the cottage, (when trusted satnav failed to locate the Intermarche on the route!) - with dozens of brochures, leaflets, maps, as well as their personal advice as to less well-known places to visit. The welcome treats on the table were also much appreciated, as were the logs to place on the lovely log-burner! We were very lucky to enjoy fabulous sunny days but September evenings can be cool. The cottage was very well-equipped, with everything you might need, all working!

We will certainly recommend !

perfectly peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I booked the Gîte for three nights for a short break.

We were absolutely delighted. The Gîte is much larger than we expected and set in a very rural location, with easy access to the nearby lovely town of Pontrieux

It is well furnished, and well equipped with everything you need to self cater. Mick an Janet went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible whilst giving us the privacy we needed. The welcome pack of bred, jams, butter, herbs and a bottle of wine were most welcome..

The log burner in the living room was a delight in the chilly evenings.

The complete tranquility of the location meant excellent nights sleeps were had, much needed to recharge our batteries

Simply , the perfect location and accommodation.

We highly recommend a stay here .

Fantastic family holiday rental

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic two week holiday in this immaculate property set in beautiful grounds - quiet and relaxing but within walking distance of the town which was stunning and had plenty of bars, restaurants etc to keep us entertained. The cottage had everything we needed (including WIFI for two teenage children!) and was in easy reach of some stunning coastline. Janet was brilliant - very welcoming - and provided us with loads of information about places and local events which she thought we would enjoy. Comes highly recommended. Thank you Janet and Michael for making such an effort to make our holiday memorable and for the very warm welcome.

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cottage for Easter. It was absolutely perfect in every way; it's a beautifully maintained home (clean rooms, very good customer service) lovingly looked after by the proprietor. Fantastic garden and play area (we have got two boys). We wished that we could stay for longer. The peace and quiet we found there was very welcome after our trips. We have had the most relaxing and peaceful holiday in a really beautiful countryside. We were lucky to find Crec’h Mordo and hope to be able to return one day again. Thank you.
