Why Jean chose Monmouth
The cottage is situated high up on the side of the valley overlooking the River Wye and the surrounding countryside. It is in a quiet location but within walking distance of the local village store and pub. The perfect getaway for a peaceful relaxing break.

We stayed almost three weeks in this house in Llandogo. The house is fully equipped, it had everything we needed. We traveled without a car, but there is a bus route through the village and we could easily reach nearby cities: Chepstow, Monmouth, Tintern. There are also many excellent hiking trails through the village.
We had a wonderful vacation and can recommend this house.
Peace perfect peace
What a beautiful cottage. If you like walking and then chilling on the decking with the most beautiful views this is the place to go. The cottage is beautiful and so well equipped. I have recommended to all my friends and family. So many lovely pubs with amazing food in a 10 mile radius. Didn't find a pub that wasn't dog friendly so we could take them everywhere. I will definitely go back. Michelle
Really beautiful property
Really beautiful property that has been well maintained and had everything we need. The views really are as good as the pictures, its very isolated (which is exactly what we wanted by the way) the garden was great - nothing better than reading a book in the morning on the decking, and it was totally fenced off so had no worries of the dog getting out.
What i would say though is that there is no mention of its location - id seen other reviews on here about the parking situation and ill be honest, i definitely thought others had overexaggerated - far from it. The road to the house is very very tight and we struggled to get our estate down it, and actually on the way out, we managed to nick (and now need to replace) 2 of the tyres because they got caught on the steep stoney hill. The directions to the house were great, but i really feel there should be some sort of a warning so you at least know what youre in for. Other than that, really lovely stay!

Another visit to Bank Cottage
We have stayed at Bank Cottage a few times now (family of 4 with two young children). It's a lovely place to be with amazing views and a very usable outdoor space. The location is great for short or long walks on woodland trails. It's very peaceful and you can have a fun and relaxing time just based at the cottage, although it's also only a short drive to many great tourist attractions and beautiful places.
The cottage has all you need for a short stay and is comfortable.
Overall, highly recommended.
