Absolutely lovely!

  • 5 of 5

We love this place. Simon and Carol make sure everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable. They couldn't be kinder. The property has a lovely garden to sit in and a calm peacefulness. There is plenty of space for our family of four, with all the practical appliances needed too. It is perfect for a relaxing family break or the odd jaunt into Dalby Forest and the Moors if you are feeling more adventurous.

Perfect holiday cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have enjoyed a fantastic family holiday in Cottage number one. The accommodation was immaculately clean, well equipped and furnished to a high standard, and the garden was peaceful and secluded. The location was great, with a very quiet children's play area, tennis courts and a lovely cafe just down the road. Many thanks to Simon and Carol who are friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of advice and information about local walks and places to visit.

Home from Home Comfort

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was appointed to a very high standard and was immaculate in every way. It was as described on the web site. Mr & Mrs Fisk provided the best customer service we have ever experienced in our many travels. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and its owners to anyone. There are many attractions in the area to cater for all ages and interests, with a broad spectrum of dining experiences.

Good accommodation

  • 5 of 5

My wife, adult son, and myself stayed in cottage number one in June. This was our second year at Ashfield Cottages. We would endorse all the other positive reviews and would not hesitate to return again. We found the accommodation to be perfect for our North Yorkshire holiday needs and very well located. It was not cluttered but well equipped and, above all, spotlessly clean. We found Carol and Simon to be friendly and approachable.

Another Moors Gem

  • 5 of 5

We had already stayed at Ashfield Cottages in April and, when we decided to visit this beautiful part of Yorkshire again in May, this time with a couple of friends, we didn't even look at websites of other cottages. We stayed at cottage number one and, once again, everything was perfect. If we had to award points for cleanliness, comfort, furnishings and equipment, we would give it 10 out of 10. Everything we needed was there and it was like home from home. In fact, at the end of each day, after having been out, we looked forward to coming back to our cosy cottage. On our last evening we sat in the beautiful, private garden enjoying the amazing evening bird chorus and watched two rabbits chasing each other on the lawn. Carol and Simon were the best of hosts and took great care to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We shall be back!

This cottage was a Gem..

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was delightful, from the lovely welcome, to the thoughtful extras onwards.

It was cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean, it had everything you could want, and was spacious, with a lovely garden to enjoy.

If the weather was poor it would still be a pleasure to stay there.

We loved our much needed stay in this wonderful county and Will return!

Carol and Simon were so friendly and close by if anything was needed....which it wasn't ! But still lovely to chat to them.

We have had self catering holidays at least once a year for many years, and taking everything into account this cottage would take some beating.

Cannot wait to rebook.
