Greystead is an incredibly spacious family house. The house has been recently renovated to a 5 star luxury standard and offers everything families require. A large stylish sitting room with flat screen television, blu-ray DVD player, perfect to unwind in after a day on the beach or visiting the Northumbrian heritage sites. A separate games room with glazed bi-folding doors opening onto the secluded garden to the rear of the house. The playroom boasts a television, blu-ray DVD player, Playstation and football table for all ages to enjoy. A large dining kitchen is beautifully arranged. A glazed lantern ceiling floods the kitchen with light enhanced by glass folding doors which open onto the large enclosed garden with decking. Greystead sits in the centre of Bamburgh just below Bamburgh Castle which is lit up strikingly every night. 2 minutes walk from all village shops, butcher, baker, grocer, delis and wonderful places to eat. 5 mins to the Beach, 3 minute drive to Bamburgh golf club.

It is in a fantastic location, in the heart of Bamburgh village just below Bamburgh Castle overlooking the Cricket Green with unrivalled views of Holy Island. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need and only minutes walk from both the butcher and baker and the beach - everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. There is so much to do in the area if you don't fancy going to the beach every day. Fantastic links golf course, historic castle and house and beautiful gardens. Miles of beautiful coastline. There are amazing walks and cycle routes waiting to be discovered.
What makes this House unique
The house is incredibly convenient. Located in the centre of Bamburgh just below the Castle and opposite the cricket pitch. Our children play in the play area and tennis most evenings we are there and we can see them from the house, allowing them enough freedom but still under our watchful eye! You can walk to the grocer/butcher and pub from Greystead. You can also walk to Bamburgh Castle Beach within 5 minutes... I promise you it is idyllic.

Wonderful Bamburgh House
We have just returned home from Greystead. What a wonderful place.
My partner was 50 at the weekend and our friends and family joined us at the house.
All who joined us commented on how its one of the best places they had stayed. Lovely views of the Castle from the house.Very close to fabulous beach.
We hope to be back some day
FANTASTIC FAMILY HOUSE IN BAMBURGH
We have stayed in Bamburgh many times. but wanted a special house for a big birthday in 2015. Greystead sounded perfect for 3 generations plus dog - and it was! The house is fantastic, both in size and amenities, with a perfect location overlooking the cricket pitch and the castle. We stayed twice last year and are just about to book again for this year. The whole family love the house, we couldn't recommend it more highly.

4 generations were able to relax, have fun, and reconnect in this wonderful
property. The house was well equipped,spacious and beautifully laid out,
and all the personal touches including the beautiful flowers were the
icing on the cake. We all fell in love with Greystead, Bamburgh and
Northumberland in general.
The Perfect House in sunny Bamburgh
Greystead really was the most perfect house and setting for a family holiday. It is beautifully done up, immaculately clean, with everything you could possibly need, very comfortable and very homely. I couldn't recommend it enough!
Special interest holidays: Paradise location for old fashioned beach holiday. So much to do. For walkers and cyclists, miles and miles of walks and cycle routes. For bird watches, incredibly rare birds nesting in the dunes and the Farne Islands, home to thousands of birds and puffins. For golfers, beautiful links courses. For historic castle lovers, castles in abundance including Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Warkworth Castle and Alnwick Castle. For those wanting more extreme sports, kite surfing and coastering. Wonderful old fashioned fishing villages to visit, Craster, Newton on Sea, Amble and Embleton. The list is endless and you will leave wanting more and like everyone you visits Bamburgh and Northumberland, you will be touched with the magic and want to come back time and time again. Coast/Beach: The beaches at Bamburgh are a few minutes walk away from Greystead. You can also drive to visit the miles and miles of the Northumberland Heritage Coastline. Travel: Bamburgh is set in beautiful Northumberland countryside, approximately midway between Berwick upon Tweed and Alnwick (and some sixteen miles from both). 39 miles from the nearest airport (Newcastle) and 4.4 miles from the nearest railway station (Chathill). For InterCity services, residents must first travel to Alnmouth or Berwick upon Tweed. Travelling northbound on the A1 turn off at Adderstone services and follow the B1341. Bamburgh is about 5 miles. Distances: Greystead is located in the centre of Bamburgh. Walking distance form all there is to offer in the village. As well as Bamburgh Castle, St Aidan's Church and The Grace Darling Museum are located within the village. Greystead is perfectly located in the heart of the village, guests can walk to the famous Bamburgh butcher run by the Carter family for the past 125 years. There is also an excellent grocer and delicatessen, coffee shop, pubs and hotels to dine in. Further Details: Bamburgh village sits on a coastline of outstanding beaches which are as long as they are wide. The Bamburgh Dunes, an area of sand dunes which are a Site of Special Scientific Interest, stand behind the award winning beach. This is a place for walkers, bird lovers and kite fliers. Bamburgh also has a number of Tennis Courts, located at the back of the cricket green, below the Castle. Hire of a court is just £5 per hour with an additional key deposit of £5. The courts are available to book from the reception of the Victoria Hotel, where you also collect and return your key. The Cricket Green in the shadows of the Castle walls has been used since the 1800's. Matches are usually played on a Sunday afternoon, which just adds to the character of this wonderful little village. The Cricket Green is also home to Bamburgh’s Croquet Club. The Northumberland Coast is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as such offers some of the best coastal walking in the country. The Northumberland Coast Path runs from Beadnell in the South, through Seahouses and on towards the magnificent Bamburgh Castle in the North. Bamburgh makes an excellent base for walkers. There are three lovely walks to choose from in Bamburgh. The first heads up The Wynding toward the coast from the Village and heading North along the bridleway to the beautiful Budle Bay, popular with bird watchers. The second is a walk from Bamburgh to Seahouses, which is approximately three miles each way. Lastly there is a short circular walk that takes in the Castle, beach and golf course. From the Village head along the far side of the Cricket Green next to the Castle and towards the beach; from here you can walk North along the beach until you reach stags rock (an animal painted on the rocks), from here cut through the sand dunes and onto The Wynding. This road leads you all the way back into the Village.

Weekend stays are a minimum of 3 nights. They are charged at 2/3 of the weekly price. 30% deposit required with the balance payable one month prior to booking. PayPal payments accepted. If booked within 6 weeks of your stay, 100% payment required. Changeover Day: Changeover day is Friday. Please vacate the property by 10 am. Please leave the property in the condition you found it. The property will be available from 4 pm for arrivals. Notes on prices: Please book early to avoid disappointment. Bookings for Summer 2018 will be taken from September 2017.
