2 bed apt with beautiful pool views on La Torre golf Resort
About Ray Malik
We are a family of 3 who lead very busy and hectic lives at home. My name is Lyn and I have been leading and teaching at a fun but demanding primary school for many years. My husband Ray has been in retail for 24 years and also runs a taxi business in the evening. Our daughter Heidi is 8 and loves swimming and water sports.
Ray Malik purchased this Apartment in 2016
Why Ray Malik chose Torre-Pacheco
We fell in love with the Costa Calida and Mar Menor totally by chance and decided to buy a property in the area. This property provides the best of both worlds. Total relaxation beside a beautiful pool yet plenty of action and entertainment should we need it. There are still many, many places we are looking forward to exploring on future trips.

Quiet, spotless, overlooking the pool.
We have recently returned from a weeks holiday at this apartment. It is a large, well maintained resort and my husband, who is a keen golfer, was in second heaven - I believe the course can test the best golfers!
Our apartment, owned by Ray and Lyn, was spotless and we needed nothing other than our food and drink to see us through the week. The resort is quiet but has everything you need including a Spar, restaurants, clubhouse and pub open. We were there relatively early in the season and it was apparent that other shops were getting ready to open soon. The resort is 20 mins away from Murcia Airport so a hire car is recommended but you can travel to nearby Roldan and experience the wonderful 'Passage to India' restaurant or drive to Los Alcazares where you can visit the beach and town centre for shopping.
We will definitely be returning to La Torre and can't recommend this apartment enough.
Little piece of paradise
A beautiful apartment. Well equipped with all you can wish for.
Large pool, with access to other community pools around the resort if you wish.
The apartment has a fabulous pool view and beyond to the golf course from a great sized private terrace.
La Torre is simply lovely. Calm, peaceful and so well cared for, you truly feel relaxed and in a little piece of paradise.
The resort has a really well stocked supermarket, and also a couple of bars and restaurants, however there's also villages within easy reach with more bars and restaurants.
For beach lovers you are spoilt for choice as there are so many of them within 15/20 mins drive from the apartment.
Within the Mar Menor/Murcia region there's lots to see and do, from the beautiful cities of Murcia and Cartagena, to waterparks and a small zoo for the young ones.
We can't wait to return later this year to explore some more!!
Thanks Coral for your nice words, glad you liked your stay. Ray and lyn.
Stunning property,overlooking beautiful large pool
Wonderful resorting the heart of both theMurcian countryside and golf country. Central to everything- towns, cities, coast, country in a lovely setting. Secure gate residential resort. Bliss.
We stayed in this apartment on La Torre Golf resort September 2016 and had a great relaxing break. The apartment is situated on the first floor overlooking the large beautiful pool and gardens. It is also within a few minutes walk to the local Spar supermarket, the resort centre/ golf facilities and restaurants. We didn't need a car as we planned to stay local, and the apartment had all the home comforts and equipment we needed. Nice private pool, comfy outdoor furniture, relaxing living room area with aircon, bedrooms and bathrooms well equipped too. Kitchen had all we needed, and being so close to the shop it was easy to keep stocked up with food and drink. Ray and Lyn the owners have been excellent through the whole process, answering all our queries quickly and being very helpful. We will look to stay again very soon!
Thanks Yasmin, we're glad you enjoyed it.
The Costa Calida is situated on the south eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain. It is bordered by
the Costa Blanca to the North, and the Costa Almeria to the south.
The Costa Calida is blessed with many kilometres of fine sandy beaches, with some areas backed by
dunes and virgin pine forests. The many towns and villages on the coast are proud of their promenades and beaches. Town beaches are well served by bars and restaurants, many with great views of the Mar Menor and La Manga.
The seawater is warm and very pleasant for bathing. The Mar Menor is shallow (which helps it get warm quickly), and the beaches slope gently, making them ideal for families with young children, and anyone who prefers not to be buffeted by the waves.
The Mar Menor is surrounded by the districts of San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier, Santiago de
la Ribera, Los Alcazares and La Manga.
The historic port town of Cartagena has many monuments, museums and architectural treasures from bygone days. This town was a strategic fortified Mediterranean port for more than two thousand years.
Leisure & recreation
The Costa Calida has great sports and leisure facilities. The larger towns and villages all have
well equipped sports centres usually with tennis or paddle courts available for hire. Several riding stable offer guided tours and lessons. There are numerous golf courses on the coast, and many more within a I hour drive, either inland, or towards Alicante.
Many kilometres beckon walkers and long distance runners alike. Much of the area is quite flat, and with generally quiet roads, it is a joy for cycling enthusiasts.
There are several sports marinas where fishing boats can be hired, with or without crew.
Most water-sports a well catered for, with dive schools, windsurfing, sailing, and canoeing all
available at different locations.
The plains of the Costa Calida are incredibly fertile, and produce a vast array of fresh fruit and vegetables, which make up the base ingredients of the regions cuisine.
Rice is a staple here, and finds it's way into many dishes.
The abundant and varied seafood from the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean, along with game and farmed meat from the nearby mountains complete the picture.
Some typical dishes are: "arroz y conejo" rice with rabbit, "arroz de verduras" rice and vegetables; "arroz y costillejas" rice and ribs; "arroz marinero" seafood rice; "paella huertana" a vegetable paella; "potaje" a rich stew dish; "menestra" a dish of sauteed vegetables; "habas con jamón" ham and broad beans; "caldo
Murciano" a local soup dish; "zaragollo"; "chuletas al ajo cabañil" garlic chops; and "pescado a la sal" baked fish in salt. The king prawns are particularely fine, and the "huevas de
mújol" a type of caviar, are highly prised.
Many desserts and cakes, often based on the local almonds, are made here. Try the famous “Jijona”
ice-creams which are still made traditionally and have genuine “Nougat” ice-cream, also made with the almonds of the region.
The fine wines from Jumilla and Yecla are known throughout Spain and beyond for their earthy, full
bodied, rounded, fruity flavours.
